Fortune Park Input?

The park is nearly finished. If all goes well the majority of features will be open tomorrow afternoon. However, there still remain some final touches. The wall ride and flat down rail have been delayed because the delivery truck got a flat tire, so they may or may not be in tomorrow and they may or may not delay the opening of the park, depending on when they come and if they are installed tonight, tomorrow or later. Nonetheless, the park is looking really really good and all the features are pristine. So if you are heading up tomorrow be aware that there is the chance of not being able to ride the park or the park in its entirety. But there is fresh on Swan Dive so go poach that if the park is late to open.

The wall ride and flat down rail have still not arrived but will be in as soon as possible. The fencing was being setup today, along with the signs and etcetera. So the park should be open for riding on sat., if maybe not sooner.

Bucky, the jumps are roughly 35' and 25', but don't quote me on that. They are big enough for you to bust some cork nines. Also, the hip is probably 40', if you take it straight over.

Lets hope for snow on fri.

BigZero, I am not sure. When I left today the park still wasn't open, it could have opened later today. Your best bet would be to give them a call in the morning and see what they say. I don't have a definite answer for you.

i rode last night and it was fun. spin is a little off but if you go end to end its sick, the double kink is well set up and the jumps are good

^^ someone from the park said that they put alot of time into the double kink-getting it set up n shit....i rode the park today and it was sick...down rail...medium and small jump side by side...long wide flat box besdie those...hip jump(so sweet) and then the double kink box...in the "beginner park" they have a small little jump/butter pad...coffin box...and the 2 c boxes...enjoy

i aslo forgot to mention this...i dont know if its like this most days..but around 4..6-8 buses full of school kids arrived...there were groups of 8-10 boarders in the park...THAT DIDNT EVEN KNOW HOW TO BOARD!! they were just following the 1 or 2 of there friends that were hitting one or 2 of the features...at one point there was 20 kids sitting on one of the landings for a table(not an exageration)..so it got pretty crowded and then we left...but other than that it was sick..oh and also i forgot to mention that there is a larger sized table near the end of the run..the flat down box was being constructed and the wall ride will probably be in by sunday.

Same for the uphill box. I backside tailslid it, and as I was coming off I did't land perfectly sqaure and I slid on my ass the entire way down. I just cant wait for some decent weather so people will come out and destroy the park.

and i dont know if its still like this but right after the uphill box there was a bunch of ruts in the ground.

uh i was up there today, they have:

-one hanrail

-choice of large table(40feet maybe), small table(10-15feet) or the up box

-they have the flat down on the hill but its not set up

-then the hip

-followed by the bottom table(30-40feet)

- then the down-flat-down rail

they have snow for the wallride but no wallride

ron the chron is feeling much better and back on the hill so things should get done. the flat down is in now and fun though its drifts a little to the left, not a big deal. there are talks about moving the up box and making it flat or a down. the wall ride is done and ready to go, if it softens somewhat in the next 2 days it will be in wallride=10feet high, 16 feet wide, about 45degree angle on it and up top there is a sloped deck about 1 foot and a half wide with coping on either side. The entire wall and deck is puck board, it’s a little late though come spring that should be a tone of fun

i was there tonight (thursday) and the wall ride was in place but not open. the flat down is super fun and super smooth.

and today (friday) the wall was open! park is looking better than ever! goooo fortune!!!!!!!

i love that wall ride u guys have its way better then the one at mont ste marrie and alot closer and it would be nice if u cleered up the chunks on the hip

keep up the good work

the reson the hip is in rough shap is cause its too steep for the groomer to ride up... its cut out be hand every few days.

EVERYTHING IS CHANGED!

well not everything

hip --> well the hip wasn't groomable, so they turned it into a table with 2 take offs.

- Beside the flat-down, there is now a like barrel jib/ lump of snow on witch to stall. It sounds kinda scetchy but its pretty fun.

- they added a like up-down, made out of 4x4s so its not slippery at all. and right below that there is like a barrel again... yah i don't know

but its pretty fun go check it out!

How much longer is FOrtune open? I was supposed to hit it up yesterday but my ride bitched out at the last second.

Fuuuuuuuck. I heard next week they're pushing the last table back into a 70 footer for an invite-only deal.

the whole mountain isnt closed, i called earlier today, and skyline is still open, and i heard something about them building one big jump too. hopefully it happens for one day or something.

ya the hill is closed now i was there today and i was tlaking to them cause i work there and they said they wont have anything open next weekend
