Totally agree. A single parent household with kids at that income level needs the money.

A single working adult, or dual income household largely does not. Unfortunately they are all getting the same handout when some need more, and most need none. I'm not a fan of people taking charity when they don't NEED it. Until you are out of options and the ends still don't meet, you aren't in need of charity.

Yeah that's true, Not sure what the best way to differentiate who needs or not.

Yeah, it's an easy ethical problem to identify, but nearly impossible to logistically identify on any kind of scale in the real world.

It sucks people feel morally okay taking charity they don't need.

espcially in a time sensitive scenario, how do you figure out who needs it pretty much over night, with people who have nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if single guys who are pretty much using this as a vacation and grabbing the $1250 and blowing it on a weekend of partying.
