Hey guys, i was just there over the weekend and i liked it alot.. Its not the best part of Colorado but Durango isn't that bad. I went to an interview and was accepted after i showed them my first quarter grades... I was just wondering if any of u guys go there and if u like it or not. Also i wanted to know how the skiing was out there... Thanks
 
i go to CU but my roommate is from durango and did a year at fort lewis where some of her friends still go. everyone skis at purgatory which is pretty sweet and gets tons of snow.
 
i live here in durango, i can actually see the campus from my house

i love in the baller ass neighborhood behind that gas station but alot of the kids like it here and the skiing is alright... they have really good powder runs when the snow actually pounds us and we have powder days and the park is better than nothing but they are improving alot on it this year so you will have fun
 
its pretty sick. i got accepted to there and western. i chose western cause of cb and its a lil closer to denver. but wolf creek, purgatory, silverton, and mad backcountry are all around there. its an awesome area in my opinion
 
Never lived there but Durango seems like a cool town based on the brief time I spent there. Lots of good beer for a town of that size. And you're close to the best powder skiing in Colorado.
 
Silverton doesn't close down. I want to say there are only like 100 year round residents. You might have a hard time accessing it over Molas Pass, very sketchy road in the winter.
 
yea silverton is always open but if its snowing its the sketchiest road you can ever imagine but the day after the storm your fine and if you make it there its the best powder skiing in the world! i just went up in the mountains and built a jump up there and if you have watched real time and look at the jump wher eis next to that old mining builing,.. thats where i built it.. well right up the raod cuz the snow wasnt good at all by there but its the best powder you will ski

i was in there.

ive spent all my life here and as a high school student i cant say much about the collage but the towns great. the skiing is sick, some of the best BC in the states.
