I can get 05/06 chronics or new PE's, what do you guys think? half and half park and trail.. i like stiff, bombproof skis. is the new topsheet for the PE going to be better than the 05/06 or what?

But if I had a choice between the two, I'd get chronics, pe's are having some topsheet trouble.
 
hm i see. well you better not have been the one that got me banned because they found my password and messed around.. that was kind of stupid. oh well i dont care..

I'd go PE's just because K2's usually last longer than Lines. Both are great skis, PE's are a bit stiffer and maybe a bit more weight too. PE's are bombproof. Ski both and then decide.. But I vote PE's.

I too would go with pe's. They are both very similar skis, but I like the shape of the pe better. I think it carves a little better. But both are basicly the same, go with which you get a better deal on.
 
chrons are dope, you can get them for 280$ i think at evogear right now, and the wides for 330$, i would prolly go for the wides, alot more versatile
 
The PE doesn't have a topsheet problem. It's ptex, and if the skis get banged together it chips. Take a file to them and clean them up, and/or drip ptex into the chips and repair them. Seems easy enough to me...
 
if your just deciding because of the topsheet get the pe's, if you would want half-half the go for the Chronics
 
ok, well whatever the problem is, it has been hyped up, and i wasnt seeking advice on how to fix it. i simply want to know: will the 06/07 k2 have the same top "layer" problem it has suffered this year?
 
thats impossible to tell at this point. The skis need to be ridden a lot to be sure what exactly they will do. I going to guess they wont have a problem this year, because k2 is the kind of company that wont reissue a fuck up ski. They probably fixed the problem, if there ever was one.
