Forgotten 90's rap

I also heard Pete Rock and C.L are collabing for another album, not 100% sure about it but that would be so sick, anyone else hear about that?

i realize that some of it is. i was referring more towards the stereotype that newschoolers listen to alot of wu-tang

word rez for knowing COTC but you missed their illest track.

also a Big L side project D.I.T.C. (Big L, for those who don't know is the best freestyler and arguably the best rapper of all time. period. fuck pac and biggie, Big L had flow that shat on those cats)

Some Big L freestyles

this release was 01, but holds the NY 90's flavor

Wu-Tang is 90s rap but this thread is about "forgotten" 90s rap. By the way its Deltron 3030, not Deletion.

such a good album.

not trying to hate but most of this isnt forgotten, some of these are some of the most popular 90's rap- been fire for years

non the less good thread

meh.

Only kids think that stuff from the last few years is the best rap or even good rap.

90s for the win.Although obviously late 80s and a little early 00s

I think my 3 top or gotta have albums would be

paid in full

low end theory

liquid swords

I find it interesting how on NS, wu tang is considered ubiquitous, quintessential, and even mainstream, yet when i ask people outside of NS, in the real world, if they've heard of wu tang i get the classic response "is that, like, some kung fu movie?" (which it is but that's besides the point). Not really related, but yeah.

Anyways, awesome thread. ++K.

absolutely agree on you with big L being arguably the best rapper ever and he is def the best freestyler. but no need to bash on big and pac. they are legends up there with big L. L biggie and Nas are my top 3 rappers of all time (no particular order). biggie had serious flow dont bash him dude but i agree with you on evrythig else

just stumbled upon the Mountain Brothers again. used to bump these guys back in the day (early 2000's), totally forgot about them. im sure someone else will appreciate this. dopest asians in the biz
