I should be mentioned for those who argue that we suffer from "liberal dillusions," you are suffering just as greatly from right wing propaganda. It is assanine how fox news can spin and twist news items so much and it is not even possible for them to be challenged. I watched the 5th estate on cbc (my flag burning liberal hippie peace loving panzy source for canadian brodcasting), and they did a report on american media. Apparently they found a direct corrolation (sp?) between the amount of FOX people watch and the number of people who believe sadam hussein was responsible for the attacks on September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..September the 11..woops sorry about that... It's scary how a television station can continue to air clearly biased material without aknowledging accusations made against them. Then people like those who have shown themselves here take what they hear, or the way it is said as facts, the neutral unbiased position. Pretty soon anything else is an unpatriotic lie. Try to actually think about stuff.
Stop treating Bush as god as so many people do. People make mistakes and no one is perfect. Question some of his actions instead of believing he's Jesus incarnate. For those getting offended when he's called a facist, take a look at the patriot act. Cleaverly named, it means that the goverment can have you obducted and held without valid evidence without notifying anyone if they suspect you are a threat to security.
With regards to what Bush coooooould be doing, the administration refuses to provide funding for help with aids in africa if people choose to set up information clinics about safe sex.
I agree that Iraq required a change of government, but I don't think Americans have positively affected the country yet. Its like early medicine when people tried blood transfusions with different types of blood. What has been achieved can hardly be called a success. It's like when the communist regime was established in Rushia. Lenin realized they needed top-down politics establish what they saw as being best for the people. Then when things didn't work out so well they ended up with Stalin, forcing everything to keep in place. Chances are Americans will leave Iraq like Afganistan, unfinished and in shambles. That or they will have to play Stalin for the next hundred years. And what of Osama Bin Laden....you know....that guy they swore to hunt down to the ends of the earth to "bring to justice." What ever happened to America's most wanted terrorist?
I'll leave you with a George Bush Quote, straight from the leader of the most powerful and dangerous country in the world:
