For those who know about cameras

Should I trade my sony a5100 for a used nikon d3300? The mirrorless is cool and all but lack of a viewfinder and the price of lenses is a bit of a letdown for me.

You're welcome to do what you want, but I wouldn't if I were you. You're just trading one 6-year-old entry-level camera for another 6-year-old entry-level camera. Save your cash and put it towards some new glass or a higher-end body that suits your needs.

Yeah, this. Camera tech has progressed a lot recently and even the newer entry-level bodies are significantly better than 5 year old gear.

Also, If I remember right, A5100 should be an E-mount which is adaptable to most older lenses. I use a couple of the full frame E mounts and prefer the older lenses due to the character and affordability (look into the fallbacks but generally, optical quality is still fantastic if you know what lenses to look for). Play around with it until the system fails. Versatility is gold when you're tryna get creative.
