I have always tended to shy away from salomon skis ever since I demoed a pair a few years back and hated them. The dimensions made them feel super bulky and that foam core felt like shit. I can safely say that I fucking hated them.
anyways... I demoed a pair of dumonts the other day at tremblant and though they do kind of feel like a lifeless ski (meaning they suck for carving and skiing outside of the park on), they seemed like a very stiff, very solid ski to take of jumps. Not to mention, if you want a ski that will rape the halfpipe then purchase a pair of dumonts because just after taking these through the park a couple times, I could tell that their rigidity and tail stiffness would rape the fuck out of the pipe.
P.s. If anyone can explain the difference in flex patterns between the dumont and suspect other that the stiffer tail, I would like them
