I got some info from the line rep out west...i'm not sure if it's news to all of you but it was news for me.

Six pairs of the line binding are currently being tested for safety in austria, the testing should be complete by next week, when, if certified, production will begin. Those of you who have PRE BOOKED your binding, shipping will begin mid to end of november. Those of you who haven't pre booked (not sure what the criteria there is..) the rep was unsure about availability and such...so it's up in the air as to whether you'll get a pair. I just learned that i'm not pre booked...so i'm gonna be pissed if the new skogans i just bought aren't going to have the binding to match.

Anyways...that's what's up..

I think Line rocks but there binding looks kind of sketchy. I want to wait until they have been used by people before I buy. I hope I am wrong though, cause the idea rocks!! It just sucks that they can't use the same idea with other skis, sounds like a Burton thing to me! Oh well!

yeah, its a sick idea. and if it saves knees thatn all other bindings will pretty much become obsolete I think. hopefully it works

jibs is right. they are overseas to test, that's why levinthal is not in the U.S. They ship and will be in stores ASAP, which is probably mid to end november. Levinthal has said they will be in stores December 1st.

why buy the line binding when look already has the technology in production and wont break on the first run?

THE SPRINKLER: get butt naked and then do a 1260 while taking a piss, i expect this trick to win many comps this coming season.
 
line bindings although they look like apline touring bindings which are flimsy peices of shit, are crazy strong. they will live up to there hype. if you got new lines wait and get the binding don't mount some other binding on it, cause line bindings are gonna change everything.

 
OK, these forums are getting out of control. The first post was fine, someone just relaying information from a rep. But then people go accusing others of starting rumors and more people just keep adding on the rumors. It was funny at first but this is getting really gay. How the hell do you know anything about the bindings, if you haven't skied them. Most of you haven't even seen an actual picture of them, just that composit sketch on the Line site in the magazines. Just wait and see before talking about how great they are or how much they suck.

No worries...it's sometimes a good thing when people critisize possible rumours...but i assure you this was from the rep. What bothers me is people who jump to conclusions about things like the line binding saying things like 'i don't think they'll be any good.' when really they have no possible way to have a clue...i mean, they're being safetied as we speak..nobody knows if they work properly. Anyways...i respect that some people want to wait to hear from people who buy them right away as to how good they are....but until then, let's just stick to what we know...they're supposed to be damn good. Assuming i get mine, i'll put up a review of them after about 2 weeks.

Why would any body want the line binding? They look like a telemark binding, Plus you could get look or Rossi's which are supa sweet.

ya man ill have theee bindings first day i can get em. whoever said not to get his years lines without the bindings to match is absolutely right. They wouldnt make something that would fuck you up. think.

 
oh my gosh they look like telemark bindings? my style on the hill is most important to me, and i wouldnt want an ugly pair of bindings, even if they were really good.
