For those near Central Connecticut...

There is a trampoline-place-type deal in Glastonbury, CT that occasionally has open gyms. For the most part they are a gymnastics-only business, but recently my friends and I have turned them on to the idea of skiers practicing there. When I went in and asked about open gyms, the first thing the chick asked me (she was hott, too) was whether I was a skier. The open gyms cost $10 for 2 hours, and the gym consists of trampolines and foam-pits. I tell you this secondhand; I heard it first from BKCountrySkrMO2 (yes you hate him) but anyways it seems dope. Its located near Smith Middle School in Glastonbury...hopefully I'll be able to provide phone number, address, etc later.

Is that near UCONN at all..I am going there I just no clue about the positioning throughout connecticut
 
ccsu is no more than 45 minutes away from uconn. it takes me 30 minutes to get to uconn from hartford.
 
Sort of, depends on what you mean near. Its probably like a half hour away (btw, there's alot of urban at UConn...have you seen my latest vid, haha). Here's an attempt at posting a google maps pic. If you can find anything on this map on a bigger map, you'll be golden.

^Yeah I saw your urban edit. I know exactly where that rail is, and step on is the only way you could hit it. Yeah there is mad urban too
 
Any word on open gym hours? I called the other day and it went straight to a recording. I want to go real bad
 
i just called and joined their email list, they don't do a lot of open gyms but i'll be notified when they do their next one. they said they'll have another before the end of summer. i may just takes some trips from uconn if they're open during the week. i know some of you guys go to school there so we can all carpool or something
 
I got the email/newsletter dealio, and it had nothing on open gyms. I emailed back asking about it and I haven't heard back. I'll let you guys know when I do
 
i live in new hartford, but i have no problem driving down there to fuck around on foam pits. sounds like a ton of fun.
 
Alright, she emailed me back and told me that as soon as she found out when the next open gym is, she'd email me. I'll pass it on to you guys. I can't do mass messages here, so just check back once in a while to see...

good news guys, the gymnastics place "Gymnastics Express Too" is having another open gym on Tuesday August 19th starting at 2:15. it runs for a couple of hours and it costs somewhere around 10 bucks. Here's some more info: 248 Eastern Blvd, Glastonbury, CT -

Alright, bad news though...I heard there was a limit on the amount of people that they'll be letting in. I know for a fact that around 15-20 Gbury kids are already going, so I estimate that there will be about 5-7 extra slots...first ones to post should consider themselves in, having seen this too...kay.

 
Hmmmm...I guess some would go in and the rest of us would go hit urban! :)

Personally I'd rather do urban but this is a once in a while deal. 'Na mean?
 
i would rather do an urban to. i doubt i can even come cuz of football which starts monday. if i do come it may be with like 2 friends.
 
I just found the event thing on facebook, small world. well, maybe this is a bad example of that expression, but still...

wish I could go on Monday, too bad I've got work though.

He called me the other day, and told me that he'll eventually make a 100% recovery. He's home now and will be in school within a week hopefully.

I'm pretty stoked for him right now
