I'm a college kid, freshman actually so I'm 3 years away from supplying myself with as much booze as I want. I know your all gonna say just go to the parties and get boozed up there, but i want some supplies to get silly before i arrive. My question is does it piss you guys off that are of age for a younger kids to always be hitting you up as their booze hookup?
 
i can prolly answer this for you- ive been buyn booze for people for years now, mostly my little bro and friends,....... and it wasnt a big deal untill they start askn all the fukin time then the same package store people , see you w/ the same kids in the parking lot, it may become a problem.

best advice would be to find more than one older kid or group of older kids yo buy yer booze that way youll only be askin the same kid or group as little as poss
 
As long as you actually know the person and aren't just obviously using them to get alcohol. Try and tell them what you want in advance so that whenever they go to the store then they can pick you up stuff too and not have to go out of their way. Unlike the guy above me I have no problem with it if you like crappy alcohol. It'll all get you drunk. Haha.

Don't expect to get change back. If this means only giving them enough to cover what you are getting plus a dollar then so be it. But if you hand me a 20 and whatever you want is only 15 then Im definitely keeping the rest. But Im just a dick like that. It's a pet peeve.
 
Agreed the law just makes kids do stupid shit. For example, some of my friends last year (seniors in highschool 17-18 yrs old) bought alcohol from college kids for a school dance. Turned out to be rubbing alcohol they all needed there stomachs pumped.
 
Actually that is a stupid suggestion quite frankly, that's why every time someone with power suggests they lower the age, it gets put down right away. It is a proven fact that the higher drinking age is beneficial in many ways.
 
Well, I'm 23, and my little brother is 20, so he and his friends always try to get me to buy them booze. Usually I do, and just keep a few bucks for the time and risk, but, it gets annoying when random phone numbers are calling you asking you to meet them at the liquor store. If I don't feel like it I just say no, but to be successful you should try to ask as many different people as you can so you're not hitting the same guy up over and over again.

If you can give me any reason to lower it, go for it. And to answer your question, other countries (such as Germany) have much more strict retaliation for illegal use of alcohol. The standard in Kaiserslautern for a DUI was actually twice as strict as on base. And if you are caught you are fucked entirely.
 
If you're in college, and do more things than just party with other freshmen, you'll start meeting people old enough.

I turn 21 in a week. I've had enough people to buy for me since I was late18-19, but I do always hate asking. 95% of the time I'm partying WITH that person though, so I just throw down for a chunk of the beer and it's all set.

Next Tuesday I'm going to the local microbrewery and getting a ton of growlers and throwing a rager at my place, hahaha.
 
Here in Quebec the drinking age is 18 and you can buy beer at any corner store or grocery. Also, they're pretty slack about it so as long as you have some sort of card or look old enough you can get your shit. So I honestly can't remember the last time I bought alcohol for someone underage, they can usually get it themselves. However, I have lent ID's to people to get into bars and that's a bit of a piss off because I haven't seen them again.

On the flip side I've been in Ontario and other provinces before where I couldn't buy and they are way more strict. So I have had to bum it before. I don't think its annoying for peeps to buy you shit though as long as your chill with them and compensate them if they really have to go out of their way or something. Don't ask some rando though unless you're by a liquor store and they're walking in anyways, you could give them a tip too. Lastly, try not to be hustling the same person all the time, I could see it getting bothersome for sure.
 
I was a the baby of my friends, so I turned 21 well after everyone else. I hit them up all the time. Most of thetime it wasnt that bad because they were going to be drinking with me. The worste was when everyone would go to the bars and I couldnt go.

I don't normall buy beer for someone unless I know them really well. It just doesnt seem worth it to me, to put my neck on the line just to hook someone up like that. I also like to know where they are going to be drinking, and that they have a sober driver.

I'm a little over cautious perhaps, but then again I remember doing a lot of stupid shit when I was younger while drunk, and I lost a few friends to it. I would just hate to be responsible for something like that.
 
My conditions are as follows.

They drive.

They pay.

They hook me up with a beer, or whatever when we get back.

And they dont bitch at me when I have no time to help them out. If I cant do it, thats that. Dont give me BS about it.

Then and only then is it fair to me.

 
However, if you aren't one of my friends don't think I'm going to go out of my way to buy booze for you. Maybe if I'm really drunk I'll go on a beer run if someone drives me, and pays for it, but that's it.
 
hahah im 18 and i got to the clubs in motown all the time. Strip clubs are strict. But all other clubs dont care. One club the bouncer even told me as long as you dont buy it you can drink it (basically if they get caught they can say you stole it from someone).
 
for the first few months i was 21, i was cool with it. but then my brother started calling me every day to hook him and his friends up, and it was pretty gay being a fucking alcohol vending machine.

from that point on i only did it like once a month, and only when i wanted some booze too.

the other thing that i REALLLY hate is when my underage friends call me and are like "hey man, can you get us some booze??? we'll pick you up and drive and everything!!"

honestly, i dont give a fuck if you drive, the inconvenience of the whole deal is just irritating as fuck. also, a lot of the time when i go get booze for idiots they request tons of shit and dont give me enough money, so i just get them whatever i can. once, when that happened, i was walking back to the car with a 5th of whiskey and the kid leans out the window and goes 'dude, we wanted a FUCKING HANDLE" so i threw it up in the air and let it smash on the pavement and said "dude, i told you i didnt want to fucking do this, maybe give me enough money next time?"
 
jesus, people hooked you up when you were under 21, so why not pass it on? throwin the bottle was a little over the top
 
it doesn't bother me to pick shit up for other people i end up going to the store 4 to 5 times a week for other people
 
it never bothered me if it was a friend that i knew, but when friends of friends and other randoms start asking, then it got really annoying.
 
Just remember these steps:

1. Have cash up front.

2. Do it however the 21 year old wants to do it.

3. Try to stay away from laundry lists.(i.e. 6 different types of beer)

4. No Bitch Drinks, for the suppliers dignity.

5. Tip

You get your shit and the 21 year old get a free drink down town and everyone wins. Small note it is easier to get this all situated on a thursday afternoon when the older friend will have better chance of being sober.
 
yah, i hook people up all the time...when i feel like it

but when I was in high school and early college, i had a fucking fake ID, i relied on myself and my other underage friends for 95% of my alcohol

and that kid was a prick. he was an asshole who lived in my brother's dorm and i barely knew him, if he's gonna be an asshole because he gave me like 7 bucks and wanted a 25 dollar handle, then he gets nothing.
 
i only buy for kids i know and i charge a beer tax. i go to the liquor store and pick out two or three nice beers for myself. unless im going to the same party.

im 19 and i have a few different people i call up to get me beer. I mix it up so i dont constantly bug the same person. i also always leave them a decent tip, and call them well in advance and give them a heads up, im also not a douche bag about it if they so no its not a big deal, the way i say it they're doing you a favor show some respect to them and appreciation. And if your caught with it never rat them out, say you pulled a "Hey Mr." plus i m good friends with a couple of them so most of the time they just ask me,
 
if your planning on chillen with me that night then its cool. If im with them in the car or something I dont mind either. But it gets annoying when kids call you up over and over again when your not planning on doing anything and want you to drive out and buy it for them... Usually the tip is not an incentive to go out and buy it, and usually i'll just pay the amount straight up, idc about a tip. I'm only 20 though so i have to drive a mile into the ghetto to get it...
 
it depends, if your just my friend to get me to buy you alcohol then yes it'll bug me but my close friends that ive been friends with for forever and my boyfriend whoes 20 still, it doesnt bother me to get him and his friends stuff.

sooo true. but police dont care, atleast not here. if you are overthetopdangerousdrunk u get a free night at the station or a ride home :P but normally they just stop parties because of nabours complaining, and ppl start drinking 15-16 ppl buy booze to kids easy, they like it. because then 18+dudes can get 15 year old girls on their parties :P

my oldest sister hooks my older sister up with tons of shit. hopefully this is a hand-me-down trait lol
 
it all depends.

I generally don't care and I always give back the change.

I just put myself in the position when I was underage and wanted booze. I help the person out.

If I work with you or know you I will get you booze. Unless there is no possible way I can, then I may get a buddy to pick it up (warranting who you are).

If a random asks me outside the store it all depends on the situation. I usually don't mind if I get a good vibe. But if I'm in a hurry or not getting a legit vibe, I won't bother.
