FOR THE SPORT OR THE MONEY?

so your saying that I ride line so its for the money. Im not sponsered but I love skiing and I like line skis, plus I bought my skis before line sold itself, but that prob wouldnt have effected my decision to buy there skis anyway.

So I dont ski for the money because Im not making any doing it. Line may be about the money but I ski for the sport.

i ride for the fun of it.being sponsored would be cool as long as its a company you like and support. not just any company becuase you want money. if i got sponsored and it took out the fun id deffinatly drop the sponsorship

Is that even a question? If you ski for anything but the love of it, then you don't deserve to ski at all.

You can do that on fischers, salomons, anything....

I'm talking about LINE as a company, they can't claim that.

It's different from company vs. skier stand point. So he can't even say "line skiers" do it for the love.

i dont thinkt there are people who ahte skiing and solely do ti fro the money dude. i think EVERYONE loves skiing, you can do ti for the moeny and love skiing at the same time.

I dont think this question is really regarding professional skiers, so much as what influences your purchase decision.

AKA, j telling everyone "most of you fucks buy whatever's cheaper anyways, so stop grilling me about the changing ownership of my company."

I mean, skiers bitch and complain about our companies not remaining ours, but if we actually fucking supported these companies rather than buying what's cheapest from the least "for the sport" people, they wouldn't have to.

It's not that hard to interpret. Jesus.

That was a bit turbo.

I kinda regret pressing 'reply'.

I'll just throw that out there before 8 different people pm me calling me a bitch.

I wish this thread was started by campbell or anyone from Ninth.

Shit wouldn't have gotten past the first 10 replies.

but it would have made more sense....

Line asking this question is like hearing a third-world child trying to sell me car insurance...

Exactly.

I have nothing against LINE but this kind of marketing makes no sense whatsoever. I think he should at least provide some evidence to show that LINE is so much "more about the sport" than any other company.

alright, right now I PAY to ski...it would be very, very sick if I could be getting PAID to ski. But definitley for the sport, the money would just be a perk

It's all about the sport tmorry was right about that and right about you do need to feed yourselves so if youre good enough to get sponsored and make money great if not, would you really stop skiing cuz you cant get rich off it NO you ski cuz its the best shit ever

its about the sport, but you need the money for the sport so you need to go where the checks are actually issued and don't bounce

NS SARCASM METER NEEDED.

Ash, I sent you this in PM already, but I'll post it here for people who didn't get it.

I was making fun of JLev's thread this past week about LOVE OF MONEY. I don't actually claim Ash is allll about money and hates the sport....just a shot at the jlev/Line thread.

all good.

dude honestly if your considered a pro skier, and you get paid to ski, its not like you can have a full time job at the same time, skiing is there love and job, so obveously they are goingto need money to live.

For the sport or for the money???

"What do you base your decisions on?

If you ride Line, you know the answer."???

Wow, such a deep, "core" statement.

Absolutely the dumbest fucking question/marketing statement I've heard this year.
