There are some new and sweeeeeeet skis coming out (one already out). The Kneissl tanker, gods gift to BC freeriding. the gatoma made by volkl I believe is very sweet also.

 
I demoed that flexon tanker...

HOLY SHIT that thing is a boat. Don't bother mentioning medium or short-radius turns in the same sentence as this thing.

That said, it's stable as hell and doesn't budge for anything, it just goes.

Em- I've skied it as well. I do beg to differ in one aspect of your results....that thing can freakin rip shorter radius turn for a ski that wide. The shovel of that ski is like a freakin conoe paddle...if you ski midfats a lot it looks like a damn whale. But all other pieces of your evaluation were RIGHT ON.

 
mmmm......volkl gotoma? Weird. I love G4s and all volkls.. is that twin tip ski?

Not sure about the explosiv. The gatoma is a TWIN!! It's Volkl's Pocket Rocket or Seth Pistol, but I'm assuming it will maintain Volkls sweet flex and dimensions...it will rip I guaruntee.

 
Explosives arent really considered freestyle, they dont really have that much of a tail. But they are awsome skis, the core is soo nice on those. I dont know what it is, but its like metal or something. But the greatest back country freestyle skis are the BC's fo sho
