Here it is all set up!

maybe if you still have the crane around may i might buy it, i want one pretty bad.

haha...interesting. Its for filming, provides you a smooth feeling shot with a different movement that a tripod cant provide you with.

ok is the crane gone, i'm reading and not seeing it being sold, but someone mentiond it was gone, and 2nd is there an LCD view finder at the handle?

yeah, nah man just a funny thought, i just was suprised you didnt see the camera on the end of the crane, kinda hard to miss, but i guess engines have viewfinders as well!

No the viewfinders for the crane can be purchased seperately, those alone are like 300 sometimes. And its not gone.

i didnt seee it, but i posted mostly out of curiosity as to what it is for it sounded like what they use to get engines out of cars

1. what type of cam did you use with this?
2. does the crane work separately from the dolly
3. is the dolly track just made of pvc
4. is their anything you need besides money that would work as a trade for either product like a new pair of skis or anything like that

no like stated before i need money since i'm going to school. I used an FX1 but you can use any cam that weighs 10 lbs or less. The dolly can be used seperately from the crane, and the crane can be used seperately as well. The dolly track is PVC but the pieces are custom for this track as are the links for the track. Not sure I stated this but i'm moving to LA, not to many mtns there, another reason why i dont need ski gear!

ebay is your best bet or a video equivalant to NS, but this seems to me a good deal, just wish i used my fx1 enough for me to legitamize buying this

Not really i think i even cut like 90 off both of those items. Your standard boom/crane will go up in price the taller and more weight it needs to support.

I'd imagine they're relatively close. The crane says it only supports 7 lbs on the website, but when you get the instructions w/ it it tells you it supports 10lbs. I doubt the XHA1 is even more then 7lbs. The HVX is the heaviest camera i know of in that category and work on there just fine!
