Up for sale is my trusty and reliable Canon 5D3. It had 79,525 shots on it as of 11/11/14, and I would estimate another 8k have gone on since (so lets say 88k shutter count). This thing has been my daily driver and has produced spectacular images for me which have been featured in Powder, Freeskier, and Backcountry magazines, posters, Sugarloaf's trail map cover, and on 30' tall banners. It has been used but never abused. It has never failed me in extreme cold or pounding snow. In short, I love this camera and am reluctant to sell it, but the features of a 1DX are very tempting.

There are a few scuffs and dings on the body. There is a crack in the top LCD glass, but it does not effect the integrity of the seal. There's one hairline scratch on the rear LCD but it is nothing annoying, and a dent on the mode dial switch. I did the best I could to capture the cosmetic damage with the only other camera I have access to right now, my iPhone.

Included are 7 batteries, a canon charger plus an additional dual charger, and a genuine canon BG-E11 grip. Two batteries are genuine canons, and the rest are third party. A few of them do not communicate with the camera but most of them still hold decent charges. Batteries numbered 2,3,4, and 5 can easily get 1500-2000 shots per battery.

I am selling this to buy a 1DX. Trades are more than welcome for a 1DX + cash on my end. Right now, it's priced at $1925, though I'm open to reasonable offers.

Good luck with your sale Jamie!

As a beginner video/photographer would a 50mm be a good start? Any recommendations? Right now im using a 15 mm fisheye to film skating and a 12-24 wide angel for follow cams. You're the man, love your work!

2000 shots on a single battery? I'm calling bullshit.

I'm assuming he means with the grip on for this. No way you're getting 2000 shots out of a single battery in sub-freezing temperatures.
