I just acquired these.

And am attempting to hook them up to my phone so I can play music. I have an auxiliary cord but don't know where to hook them up. This is the back side of the stereo.

There is a CD option, a phono option which I assume is for the record player, a tuner for the radio, a video/aux which will somehow incorporate the aux, and a tape button all on the front. I can provide more pictures upon request. Thanks. +K for helpful stuff and if you make me laugh.

i would plug it into the cd setting (assuming you dont use a cd player). i did that with mine and as long as you have a signal coming in, it will play.

the settings, as far as cd and record go, are more for labeling so you can select a specific device. it doesnt matter what is plugged into them

Well I did try plugging it into the cd part because there are two "control" spots the say in and out and I plugged the auxiliary cord into them and got nothing. So no luck there :(

on the reciever there should be an input that is color coded red and white, without being labeled in/out. plug it into that

this is what mine looks like

i have the aux chord going into the cd input, with the colors matched between the chord and input. if you dont have something like that, plug it into the in part of an auxulury input

Yeah mine looks nothing like that. From the looks of it I need to get an auxiliary cord input that will then combine into one. I don't really know what the hell I'm talking about but hopefully they make those hahah

have you been trying to plug a 1/8 inch plug (standard aux extension chord) into it? you need to get an aux imput that has a input for the 1/8 or whatever you are using and the chord splits into two that is red and white

you basically need something that looks like this

and from what it sounds like is you have something like this

is that right?
