i got a JVC GR-D37OU digital video camera......i tried uploading video today but it didn't come with a chord that would work......will i firewire work for this or can i even upload footage on to my computer with this camera?

a fire wire should work if the camera has a firewire port

i think it has a firewire port.........the port is called a dv port.....is a dv port the same as a fire wire port

show a pic of your camera. I got a JVC too and it doesnt come with any wires that will hook up to the computer.

i have the same exact thing cept its a 28x optical zoom

i have the exact same thing but 22x zoom. you need a firewire port. if you already have one... you need a firewire cable. turn it on play mode and a thing should pop up giving you options for what program to capture it into.
