haha that video was amsuing, but ill admit i own 2 tapout shirts, no i did not pay 50$ for them, but i paid 30$ and got both of them. I do not fight in competition, but i do train with my friend at the gym who does fight in mma, i use that as my cardio form of my workouts because i hate running. Mr. Panda brings up a good point, Jibberish started out (still is) a core brand, much like tapout was when it started now look at it, people started to support it, much like NS who supports Jibberish, soon Jibberish will be a brand u will see many ppl wearing who may or may not be freestyle skiers. Like it or not, its how marketing works.
 
Jiberish* and tapout doesnt make limited runs do they? because jiberish wants to stay "underground" and for the freeskiers. They only produce a certain number of hoodies/tees, Tapout doesnt do that do they? I mean yeah, paris hilton did buy a piece of jiberish but thats because she was in the store, not on the site looking to buy a certain piece.

Fact is... I have gotten compliments on my TapouT and SilverStar shirts (fuck Affliction.. too many crosses and Fleur De Lises on it).

TapouT did. They did until the UFC was almost dead from lack of money and TapouT ended up pushing everything as mainstream as possible and then giving money to Zuffa, Dana White, and the UFC.
 
i was just using jiberish as an example of a small core company that tapout started out to be. And do u think jiberish only makes a small number because they want to stay underground? or do they do this because they do not have the funds to produce more? im asking this as a serious question because i really do not know. And from my understanding tapout no longer sells the original "tapout" black and white shirt, when it first started out.
 
its been said by pete that they want to stay limited, they could start making reruns of the same products but they like the limited aspect where you wont have everyone in your town wearing the same piece you have.
 
im saying from watching the fights and seeing the tapout shirts, i thought hey maybe i should support this brand, so i went out and bought 2 shirts on sale not rediculously priced. Much like how ppl watch ski edits, and see the G-suit, or ppl rocking jiberish hoodies and say to themselves "wow my fav pro wears this, its so cool, im gunna buy it and support this company too", its pretty much the same thing.

There really isn't. If you buy Jiberish, you generally look like a trendwhore anyway. It's sort of what happens when you wear a t-shirt that a 6 year old designed.

btw, what the fuck is up with kids on NS now, you don't dress gangster. You don't even dress close to being gangster, you dress in baggy clothes. Just because a tshirt is 5xl doesn't make it thug, it makes it a sun dress. I have not seen a single skiier dress 'thug'.
 
30$ to support a company that endorses a sport that i enjoy watching, i see no idiot there, but to each their own

I have stopped buying the basic shirts. I buy fighter walkout shirts now of my favorite fighters because it is like wearing a Celtics, Yankees, Red Sox, or Lakers jersey (or a team of your choice).

This is how I view it:

Rich Franklin is one of my favorite fighters... he is sponsored by American Fighter and Tapout (currently). I buy his new American Fighter/Tapout walkout shirt from UFC 115 and American Fighter/Tapout get the money. They certainly pocket some themselves but they also take some money to use to help sponsor not only Rich Franklin but also other fighters they currently have and possibly newer guys too.

In small sports like skiing and MMA buying the clothing (SilverStar or Tapout for MMA Jiberish, SaGa and FirstDROP for skiing) you are in a way helping the sport too.
 
And to people outside of the skiing community SaGa, FirstDROP, and Tall ts make you look fucking stupid.. if not worse because of how stupidly big they are.

no, it started out for people who actually care about their sport but douche bags raped the shit out of their brand.

Eh I don't mind those as much. Pretty much every kid I go to school with either wears that or the douche brands I listed above. And I'd rather see some polo shirt than some gym rat with a too tight shirt with fucking rhinestones on it.
 
As we speak, I am wearing my Rampage Jackson walkout shirt that has CAGE FIGHTER and MMA ELITE plastered all over it along with his other endorsements... So fuck me, right?
 
My issue with them is paying $60 for a nice polo with wear spots on the collar pre put in... get a $20 one and I can do those for you with a knife and sandpaper for free.

And yes Barf... FUCK YOU apparently.

I do not wear tapout shirts, but I went for Double Weenie Wednesday last week just to find out that they moved it to friday. So then I went over to Super Weenie Hut Jrs. and on my way there I accidentally walked into the Salty Spitoon where I slipped on an Ice Cube and got covered in booboos so then I had to go to Weenie Hut General.
 
hahaha if anyone here is in the clothing business and has been to a MAGIC tradeshow, they know that they are totally overrun by brands like affliction, ed hardy, tapout, and any other of the 3023830 brands that have to do with some sort of fighting

fuck tapout, and the douche bags that wear that shit. i dont think ive ever seen someone in a tapout shirt that wasnt a complete tool. same with all the people who put the stickers on their cars. id say like 9 times out of 10 when i see a tapout sticker on a car, its stupid ass lifted truck, with big chrome wheels, clean and shiny as fuck, never seen dirt, and just all around a tool mobile. and if its not that, its a jeep with black wheels.
