For anyone that wears TAPOUT Shirts

most people who train in mma don't wear tapout (unless theyre sponsored by it), because it has become a general consensus that wearing one of those gives you a douchebaggy vibe. Fans of the sport are usually the ones who wear it, but whether or not they buy the shirts for the "good" reasons, the brand has already been ruined by douchebags.

There's a lot of hillbilly fucks in my school who wear them. I'm almost certain that 80% of them aren't really fans and don't follow UFC, they just like the idea of MMA.
 
I don't like Tapout either, but if you think wearing your sister's jeans, hightops, and a 3xl t shirt is any better, you are a trendwhore fool.
 
Wow, what's with all the hate? One of my friends who honestly is one of the nicest kids ever and wears Tapout could probably beat the shit out of everybody in this thread. He trains with some UFC fighters and is supporting his sport. Kind of like all you kids out there who wear Jiberish, First Drop, etc

the only guys i see that wear tapout shirts at my school is a lanky tall not tough at all mother fucker(spends most of his lunch time wrestling some other guy, he always gets owned), or some little guy that thinks he's super cool (like 5'3) scrawny as a fox that hasn't eaten in weeks. now THAT pisses me off cause they think they are tough just because they wear a shirt that says "tapout" on it...

Honestly... I have NEVER met someone rocking a tapout shirt that was just a generally nice, chill dude who wasnt a meathead with a roidrage attitude.

Tapout is the new Famous Stars and Straps... Everyone started wearing those fucking shirts all of a sudden. They were everywhere. I felt like the only one who legitimately did not want one for the sole reason that it WAS the norm...

The Hollister/A&F shit though is what really bugs me... most of the poeple that wear that stuff around here are either rich, super metro, and are usually born again christians who want to impose their newfound beliefs on you...

I just wear random ass Tshirts i've had from work.. school, random events i've done... and stuff i've found for cheap as fuck at goodwill. I'll only wear a tall T if i'm going to some skiing event or going skiing in general... or if i'm going to bed or something.
 
nah the good parts to punch are usually always at arm level anyway. Plus the reach is nice kind of keeping them from trying any uppercuts and whatnot. Plus if you know what you're doing, if they do get a little close you can wrap them up like a tortilla.

not trying to actually be serious about this but its kind of what i've found being 6' 5''

lol you think they make limited runs to stay underground?

they did it so that kids won't mind spending 40 or whatever dollars on a t-shirt. supply and demand. if they are all over the place then they arent a social statement.

same reason for the longest time oakley frogskins were hard to find. just building and building demand.
 
I guess it really depends on your reach. I know because my arms are shorter I am better on the inside, not so good with straights and stuff. More so hooks and uppercuts. Guy with longer arms tries to tangle it up on the inside, you just bide your time til you have an opening then BAM! Most guys with long arms don't realize it makes them LESS powerful for hooks and uppers.
 
That's exactly what I see it as. Tapout is starting to die where I am though. It never did get quite as big as famous, but NEVER did I ever feel inclined to buy either of those brands. I would rather wear Tapout than Famous though.

I somewhat agree with the G suit thing. But most skiers wear them as ironic jokes and not as fly outer wear from what I've seen so it's not the same. It's like wearing wolf shirts.
