Okay first off, this should be the thread to end all rail plan threads. If you can some how get the metal they use on street signs. The metal with the wholes in it, then you are set. When you get that you just take a skill saw and cut out the bottom a square in the bottom of the rail where u want your support to be. It should be big enough so that the peice you cut off the end will be able to fit in it. Once you cut it out then you take off how ever much you want on the ends to be your supports. You then put the peices in the holes and then place srews threw the bar where the holes will line up. You will have extra screw stiking out but you just cut that off with the skill saw. You should by now have the basic structure of the rail built. now you just need to figure out how to make supports on the bottom. you can get metal peices welded on our use wood. Its up to you. no man, u can either weld metal pieces on or put wood blocks in the stands and put a bolt through the wood in the support and then screw wooden peices into the wood block in the support

Alright, first you ll need an arch welder, liquid nitrogen, plutonium and uranium and a 6 pack of beer. First sell the plutonium and uranium to an indepentent state and make a shitload of money, pay someone to make a rail, or you can just buy a mountain. then drink the beers and fuck around with the nitrogen and welder. Good times shall be had by all.

seriously, just go hit urbans. if you want a way to kill time before/after skiing, just build a snowskate park. those thisgs are easy, fun, and you can set up all sorts of shit. last year i set up a nice 20 ft teeter toter rail.

its not that hard just cut pieces out of a metal soccer goal rim and weld them together with an arc welder. using wood is fucking dumb cause it gets soft and rots

I built a 10 foot flat bar to just mess around on for under 25 dollars in under 2 hrs. Goto the store and get 4 10 foot 2x4s and 2 10 foot long of pvc 1 1/2 inches wide. Construct a rectangle with 2 10 foot 2x4s connect them on the sides with 2 2 foot long 2x4s and one in the middle. cut 3 equal legs for the bottom across 3 feet each. stand it up and first throw down some wood glue and put the pipes on side by side. C clamp it for like half an hour then come back and drill upward unto the pvc 4 equally spaced screws. and down threw it on each end that is opened at an angle. Thing is real solid and works really well. You can go as big as youd like or create different designs using this same technique, do it up

 
wood and pvc would be the easiest to build but you need to go metal all they way, and you need to know how to weld to get down to it.

I agree 100% but if you want something fast cheap yet still a good time, or something to learn on i think wood and pvc is the way to go

 
snow skate parks work well theyre wicked fun, and u can buy rails too even tho they are edxpensive

just go to an auto shop a lot of them can throw something to gether and u jus need to pay(usually cheap) and find a way to bring it back to your place.
