westcoastskier- I agree with what you said on the previous page. The more that inliners bitch, the less respect I have for them. I've been kicking it on skates for probably seven years now, loving it and not giving a shit what any fucking boarder called me, 'cause I was doing my thing rolling and he was doing his thing being an asshole. If people see that you love doing what you're doing, they'll respect that, and sometimes it's hard to see that when you spent all your time complaining about your persecution. Go out and roll; do some dope shit and shut their mouths over a sick gap, rather than trying to shut their mouths over the Net.

Oh, and for the haters: The best skater I ever knew was a 16-year old kid from Twin Falls, Idaho who could throw huge corked 7s and 5s, flatspin 5 and 7s, upright 900s, backflips, and huge misty 5s. He's never had a photo published and has never had a sponsor, but I think if you had seen in person the shit this kid could do on a pair of Salomons, you'd be praising inline skating until the next day, when you wash the shit out of your pants from disbelief.

^Just a question... What were you doing in Twin Falls, ID? I still don't know what everyone's deal is dissing inline like they do, well, I do... But it's def not a legitimate reason. The guys that are dedicated to it are doing it b/c they love it. There're no big sponsorship deals out there dangling around like there are in skateboarding. In alot of ways, as far as an industry parallel I'd say aggro inline is just the same as freeskiing. Both of us enjoy a smaller scene, but that just makes it better for those of us who enjoy what we're doing, not because it's the thing to do, but it's what we love (at least I hope that holds true for most of us here) I know dissing on things that aren't accepted as the cool thing to do is what's hip. But these cats who say inline is gay just because need to step back and look at what they're saying because I hear people telling me that skiing is just plain gay. I do it cause I love it, fuck it if someone don't like it... But, dude, what were you doing in Twin Falls?

I used to inline,, and now I skate, and Well, in-lining is cool if you dig it.. But it's a disapointing sport.. Skating is sp hard, that when you land a trick and finally get it dialed in, it's a feeling like in-lining will never give you..

inline deserves as much respect as skiing or any other sport... they do some pretty crazy shit, plus the landings are harder to stick and if you fuck up, there's no nice soft snow to fall on...

i think people need to stop making fun of people for doing something they get enjoyment out of. that goes for anything in life. are you going to make fun of everyone who does something different from you? the world be a pretty boring place if everyone simply skied and skated or whatever you think they should do. let people do what they want, its not like they forcing to start blading or whatever. that said, skiing is still where its at.

Today one of the 'special' kids shit all over the floor in the upper hall. I thought, 'you know what, that kid just shit all over the floor' so I decided I wouldn't do any work the rest of the day.-west
