woohooo, in this blazing hot sun. its a team camp though with 4 other schools so its not that bad. its from 5 to 730 pm eastern time. who else has started this kind of thing with their schools. but practice for us starts august 18th in the blazing hot sun... 2 a days woo fucking hoo. anybody else have 2 adays ?

soccer is such a pussy sport. ( dont say you dont know, i do know i played soccer my whole life till this year) because it got boriing i was very good (claim) untill i switched to football this year, its alot more phsical, and takes more energy

well thats right up there with one of the most unnecessary comments ive seen lately. i play golf so im not biased towards either. i like football a hell of a lot more than soccer but im gonna go ahead and say that soccer takes an unfathimable amount of endurance compared to football. two a days im sure are tough but your not always on the field. you get breaks. you have walk throughs. everything soccer does is full speed

then your team must have sucked

how is it a pussy sport? in football, you run for 10 seconds and stop. how is that less boring than soccer. in football, you have pads. thats pussier than rugby, pussy.

yea bench isnt usually very fun is it?

i guess u can have your opinion i just strongly disagree cuz my school has swap practises and the football players dont no shit and all the soccer players have know problems with the football practise

At my school football started before school even got out which was june 6th so consider yourself lucky

yeah thats what i thought untill i actually played, shut you're mouth. no shit you have pads, it hurts... id play rugby if my school had rugby. and for the kid that said my soccer team sucked. they won states. so yea

oh well ^ you tryed to say shit, you have no clue on. like are team sucked, just wanted to prove you wrong

so what's your school name? and i'm guessing you didn't actually play then. sorry but i've played football and soccer and football is WAY easier. seriously if you can run fast you are automatically good as shit at highschool football. you sprint for like 20 yards then take a 30 second break. so you get hit, it doesn't really hurt either. yeah you feel it but you get hit hard like once a game...

why are you so lame?

in soccer, and cross country, we run. alot.

in football, you just run a little and take a brake.

dont be such a pussy.

soccers probly the hardest sport theyre is....... also, unless your QB or cornerback... you dont need any brains to play football

hah all my football playing friends have 2 a days like all summer

sucks for them

but the football and soccer players hating on eachother needs to stop

both are good sports and take skill and strength to play

but for the record, soccer is not for pussies, and is VERY physical...unless the you're a pussy bitch when you play and dont hit anyone

and one last thing, i've seen alot more fistfights in soccer than football... so soccer players arent any less tough than football players

im just saying, football doesnt take stamina, or willpower, and your hating on "pussy sports"

i used to play soccer too, that shit is brutal, sprinting for 90 minutes is tough.

haha no brains to play football ? try being a full back and remebering the even and odd holes and the plays when you have to actuallly run the ball and when not too.. btw glens falls idt it was this yr i think last yr

you don't even know what year? and unfortunately i couldn't find any info on that. maybe i missed something though. care to refer me to an article?

1. This thread is pointless, i dont think anyone cares what sport u are playing and how it affects your life. A lot of nsers play sports and dont feel the need to make a thread about it.

2. In my opinion, soccer is not a pussy sport and neither is football. You have to work just as hard in each sport, and it all depends on what kind of coaching u have.

3. What highschool do you go to? u said ur soccer team won states and u live in NY. I live outside of albany and go to shaker highschool, so i'll prolly be familiar with ur school

i definatly wish i was startin football... tho its only my soph. year and i had knee surgery this past year so i think im just goin to take the season off.... tho i dont really want to... but then again i could screw it up even more

hahaha ok man, whatever...

and I think the be all end all of the soccer vs football (american terms...) argument is:

what is the most popular sport in the world?

Hmm soccer.

unfortunatly ur right.... i dont think i could stand watchin all 90min. of soccer or howeva long the game lasts .... tho i could spend all day watchin a good football team...THE COLTS!!!! (spains soccer teams good too...)

daily doubles start for me in mid august, we have a week of that, then regular practice, than our first game is august 28th

soccer takes so much stamina, all you do is run. football is so much standing around, and i play football so im not hating on either. but soccer is kinda boring to watch. playing it is so much fun, but watching it sucks. i love watching football.

yah dude football is so badass. you have to be tough and strong to play it. and you have to work out a lot to get big muscles. it doesnt even matter how much skill you have, they take you if your big. why do you have to hate on other sports because they arent as physical? they require a lot of skill, and not so much size. i actually prefer more skillish sports, because it really shows how good of a player you are.

my school is one of the top programs in the state and our coaches do wayyy to much to keep it thats way. We had spring football which was practice everyday for 2 weeks then went to yale football camp which is 2 a days for a week then now we have conditioning and weight training all summer every monday, wednesday, and friday at 6am. Today i had to wake up at like 5:30 to go run sprints, it sucks. I love football and would never quit, but what we do is just insane. Last year our saturday morning practices were all running. We always ran "man makers" on saturdays which is really bad. Man maker = 10 100yard sprints, 8 80yards, 6 60yards, 4 40yards then we would have a full contact scrimmage after and everyone is too tired to do anything so people just get killed. We have like a 4 or 5 month off season but it seems way shorter than that.

lol nice coverup douche.

I'd like to see you try and compete at a high level in soccer while running for 90 minutes.

football is more than just how strong and big u are..... theres a lot of smarts involved example: if ur on the line than u have to no what hole the rb i goin through, who ur assiagnment is to block ( d lineman, line backers, ect.) another thing football is a game of angles and postition... if u are a small but quick linebacker and a big offensive gaurd comes out and blocks u if u stand straigt up ur goin to get the shit blocked out of u..... if u get low and keep ur balance ull go right through the guy and make the tackle......

point is theres more to football than what meets the eye.... jus like there is prolly more to soccer than what meets the eye (guessing on that tho)

and i play football and rugby.....they are both very physical. Football is even more physical than rugby. It doesnt seem like it but it is. I have played pretty much every sport and football is easily the most tireing and demanding sport. You cant compare football or rugby to soccer they are totally different. Football and rugby take strength and power and speed and endurance while soccer just takes endurance and speed. You can be the weakest scrawnyest person on earth and still be good at soccer. There should not be an online argument about this because everybody should know that football is more demanding and tougher than soccer.
