Football practices are brudal

no and no

You have a general idea of where to run the ball. that can change in a split second and you need to be able to adjust to that.

what the fuck do you play? soccer? i kick the ball back and forth...

play lacrosse, theres a creative sport

No joke, water polo is fucking legit. This is only coming from me playing in HS gym class but when I took the game seriously I was dead tired after 20 minutes. And this is while I'm in the peak of my physical ability with soccer.

Water polo is pretty much tension on all of your muscles at all times. Ridiculous.

At the end of the season ill dig this thread up and post my recruit me video. Then you will see some good running ok?

and what the hell are you anyway? some dirt bone hippy who has his mind on art all the time?

i would say wrestling has the toughest practices but it really depend who you play for. football practice is not hard because of the running (which sucks) but becasue of giving and taking hits wears on your body. i would get out of bed it the morning and it would sound like a firecracker because i had so many parts of my body poping.I did no wrestle in high school but my brother did and it was far tougher then any other sport. Imangine strving yourself having a three hour practice then running 5 miles. he looked terible. i was happy for him when he quit.

i wont argue with that, wrestling is one hell of a tough sport. hell its not a sport, its a life

Thank you! Some of my friends that don't play have it for gym class, and some of them cant even walk when they're done. Now imagine doing two-a-day. 2 hours in the morning. 2 and a half in the afternoon. And game days we had morning practice. I went to play at Stanford for a 5 days, and it was three 2 hour sessions everyday.

actually i do the most popular game on earth....but i don't want get into some soccer vs. football bantering bullshit.

and yes players obviously adjust to whatever the defense throws at them, BUT that still doesn't require creative thinking. it's a reaction to what is happening before them.

What it comes down to is you and i think differently..you would rather have some crazed Marine prick telling you what to do, and I would rather make up my mind for myself.

Everywhere really haha. but LB, D end, corner, and safety if needed.

granted if i go play somewhere it would be for corner/saftey

Personally, I think rugby takes more skill, creativity, and physical stress than football. The fact that the hits are just as hard, usually harder, and there are no pads, is crazy. I played for a club back in middle school and was the wing, and I luckily never got bad hits. But I dished them out. My high school has been national champs in rugby the past two years, so maybe that influences my opinion because football is neglected, but it's just the way I compare the two sports.

actually. i agree fully, but there two different worlds. you take a rugby team and put pads on them and play a football team, there going to get there asses handed to them. the same can be said about a football eam playing a rugby team, they would also get their asses handed to them. there essentially the same sport with different rules, and each are as brutal and as tough as the other.

3 sets. power I, ACE ( Qb under center, one back, tight end, 3 recievers, or wing and 2 recievers), and the spread

power I consuming about 60-70%

i love how you guys are all bitching about how hard your little sports are, try doing ballet lessons twice a week bitches

At my school, 90% of the rugby players play football and they only do it because it helps them get starting positions and such.

The cultures are also very different

Football coach: You missed that fucking tackle, I'm going to piss in your helmet and you will run for 4 hours.

Rugby coach: You missed that tackle, and they scored. Go score twice. Fuck shit up.

oh my, man im sorry... i fucking hate the flexbone no offense. our coach last year FUCKED us with that stupid offense... well stupid for us given our personnel

really ? it's soooo legit. deff works wonders. i really like it. i get the ball a ton on mid and veer runs. if not i just get to fuck up ends and linebackers :D

i bet its not so bad for a FB but getting the ball and changin direction and speed is just stupid for me. jog two yards snap the ball cut back god it was nonsense.... granted our coach was the biggest moron to ever walk this planet. the asshole couldnt even finish a sentence because he was too stupid to think.

Football practice was a cake. Just listen to what they tell you, dont complain, and go the extra mile (IE be a douche and run more then anyone else) and the coaches love you.

Now track and xc is brutal. Track was miserable (was a thrower) and it was all upper body dead lifts every day

agreed. it's because rugby has European culture behind it, and football has a large amount of redneck, military-minded, testosterone raging conservatives backing it.

not at all. you just dont stereotype Americans by saying were all redneck military hard ass conservatives. i could counter by saying all Europeans are pussy fucks that sup coffee and take it in the ass. while some of those are true for each its not the countries as whole

I also get sick of football players baggin' on us swimmers and water polo players because we "Wear speedos and stare at eachother's bulges all day."

no, rednecks watch Nascar

and whats wrong with military-minded testosterone raging people? its the same with soccer, or even rugby. You have those crazy fucks at soccer games or in Pubs starts fights and killing each other when their team wins or loses

And im telling you, Lacrosse is the way to go out of all these sports. its the next big thing, give it a couple years and it will be the top sport in HS and on TV

On, the east coast, yes, it's a possibility. Lacrosse has a very small following here in California. The kids who play at my school are the weird ass kids.

But we have the same opinion as you for water polo and swimming.

i used to play under the 1999 nfl high school coach of the year who was a straight jackass and pros from our hs said our HS workouts were tougher than any pro or college workout they've ever done

yeah i know someone who goes to harvard-westlake, i hear they are dityyyyyy

but i also know a kid who lives in san diego who is basically is a east coast lax bro with a bit of a surfer personality to him. If thats the type of kid you find weird, you have different kids than the east coast, haha

But lacrosse is spreading, i guarantee it will hit cali really hard in the next couple of years.

I'm from Sacramento, and the lacrosse kids here are just fuckin weird. I wouldn't find that kid from SD you're talking about weird. But these kids are in HS and play Magic and listen to death metal, at the same time.

played 4 years of varsity in high school, and 2 years at community college.
2 a days in high school, 3 a days at JC. During summer I would usually be at practice from 10-9 in the night. . its not the running that makes it hard its the combined exhaustion mentally and physically from the various beatings your taking. eventually your brain turns off and you just do it

yo dont hate on magic lol
our team plays on trips and stuff, and theres like 4 or 5 kids that play all the time.
it's legit, just a little sub-mainstream cause kids don't wanna be seen as nerds and stuff
