Football is extremely overrated

Football is an amazing sport.. i think im correct by saying that its the most watched sport in the world. its a beautiful showcase of foot skill and team work between 11 players on each team.. its a breath taking game, where two teams battle it out for the respect and acceptance of their fans, and when they score a goal they gain this with a huge raw from the crowd which further shows the dedication of the fans that go a watch this amazing game of football

btw throwing a egg shaped ball is not called football.. thats rugby and soccer does not exist as a game.. its called football. i think that Americans and only 1 other country don't call football, football. and yes im British.. the inventors of the game
 
The football:chess analogy is and was very accurate. The fact that the many parallels are lost on you just outs you as the clueless guy who can barely manage to follow the ball play to play, let alone any of the more nuanced aspects. And, the fact that you keep mentioning how you and your bros throw a ball around as some sort of credential is hilarious.

It's also awesome that you're blaming football for social issues, like the crumbling of the familial unit, obesity, etc. If not out and out troll, I'm calling uncoordinated, pimply, socially awkward WoW champion.

Football is a source of unity in my family, my mom texts me during games and is more savvy than the average dipshit yelling at the screen in the bar.

 
Now that you put it that way, I guess I realize that I never once enjoyed having fun while watching football.

I should do something more productive with my life like watch baseball.
 
okay, champ. whatever makes you feel better about yourself and the fact that your country currently sucks so hard at the game it invented. i mean i can't think of a country that plays a less pleasing style of soccer than england. at the very least it is certainly worse than any of the other major soccer powers
