Just think about it... it's a bunch of over paid criminals chasing a ball around. On sundays people waste a whole nice afternoon to watch people play, either paying too much money to watch others do something or sitting at home eatting pizza and watching. Get outside and do something, don't be a spectator, go throw a football around with your friends or go hiking or some shit. It's just such a weird thing our society does. haha well thats my rant for the week. What do you all think?

Bro. Why do you watch the Xgames?! It's just a bunch of rich white guys showing off how much money they have to afford the best training and equipment. Go outside and jerk off or something else productive. It's just such a weird thing society does. Watch other people show off how much expendable money they have. What do you all think?
 
lol. I didn't understand the point football when I moved to America in 3rd grade. I understand it now, but I don't watch it because it is such a painfully repetitive and ignorant sport. But there is a reason why half the kids in school don't graduate with better than a 2.5 gpa. They waste their time grabbing other men and playing with balls 10-15 hours a week. I totally agree with you op, i don't know why people watch football, let alone even pay for it. Whatever, bother about yourself and not others. That's how I go about these types of things haha
 
I completely agree, I think it's boring as fuck to watch. The only sport I enjoy watching consistently is Soccer, mostly the world cup. Oh, and the Little League World Series (Baseball) when it rolls around. I get much more satisfaction out of watching something else to be honest, and it's only like a solid fucking 25 minutes of football, even though it takes up like a 2 1/2 hour time slot. Da fuck
 
yeah. it's incredibly easy to argue that any sport is repetitive, dull, and ultimately pointless to watch/play. but, well done, op.

Not saying that I hate football or that there's anything wrong with it, but it is over rated.

It's just one of those cultural things. You grow up around it so it becomes the coolest thing and you slide into it. If we were in other countries it would be soccer/football. And they obsess over it the same way.

Sports are fun, but I def feel they get over hyped.

If it wasn't already a cultural staple to be obsessed with football, that would have a MASSIVE effect on the way people look at the game. I just don't like to like things simply because of where I was brought up, culture, or tradition.

Maybe that's shitty and I'm a communist but I just like to like things I like. I actually like football, but I'm not going to kill somebody over a game.
 
idk im a football fan but if you think about it that people who are protecting a football are getting more money than people fighting for our country i guess its pretty fucked

This. Iv.e never played a down of football in my life and i love it. Hell i played soccer from 6-18. Football is sick just like baseball and soccer and all other sports. Its just people being competitive, dont see the harm in that.
 
That it is over rated. And then a lot of people are obsessed with football because you're supposed to be obsessed with football. It's culture bred by culture. Also saying that I actually like football, but that it really is over hyped.
 
I used to watch like 2 or 3 games a year. I just don't find it that entertaining. Once I got to college and beer and betting were introduced into the equation it got way better, but that's because beer and betting are fun. Sitting though a whole football game sober sucks ass.
 
try betting justmake a 2 dollar proline ticket, its alot more exciting to watch when you can win some money and hungover sundays watching football and smokin dope is one of the best things ever

After seeing the Seahawks, Packers, and Broncos loose I am over the NFL for this season. I really don't like any of the other teams left.

OP just doesn't undesrtand football and gets shit on in every conversation and can't participate when his friends are talking about sports. Football players are some of the most badass, athletic people on the planet. Its not just repetitive run and throw over and over again. If you took the time to watch and appreciate the game you would understand everything that goes into making a succesful play and how hard it really is. Football is more like chess move after move. Plus the people who play it are absolute beasts. Any football player could play soccer if they tried because soccer just involves running around all the time with minimal hitting. Not to mention they would destroy anyone in their path.

I think it is stupid to consider one sport "better" than the other. I enjoy watching and playing football,but I also like soccer and played it for a long time. You can't compare sports because it's all personal preference. I think it's terribly ignorant to bash on other people for liking a sport. We all look to sports for entertainment, whether we watch or play them, so if somebody enjoys a different sport then who the fuck cares? Football is popular in the US because it's a very social event, much more so than games like soccer or hockey.
 
I think its disrespectful to categorize NFL atheletes as criminals. Sure some get in trouble, but you are mostly talking about world class atheletes that have graduated from elite universities. Show me your BA from Stanford and then talk shit. If your point is that people waste their lives watching the game, who cares? I work all week I'll waste my weekends however the fuck I want without judgement from your pathetic ass. In short, go fuck yourself.
