I like to cook. A lot. And I don't really use recipes, I just look at pictures and get inspired. Soooooooooooo post pictures of really good stuff readysetgo.

Someone else on ns has got to like food photography.

this.

i'm sorry, but one culinary master to another; all that food kinda looks like shit. real "foodtography" focuses on beautiful plating and diverse colors(imo)...and none of those pictures really have either. haha

as you can see i'm a huge fan of molecular gastronomy. to me the unique combination of textures that you couldn't possibly create using any other methods mixed with the extremely vibrant colors and the limitless possibilities of plating techniques/styles really do a great job displaying a chefs personality in his or her dishes.

Well, thats why it says foodie photography. A little different. Like I said, I get ideas from pictures like that. All those photos make me want to cook. Yours are like holy shit, thats edible? Different.

Unfortunately this thread isn't about "real foodtography" then. Its about pictures of dank-ass looking food, that can be used as inspiration to make dank-ass tasting food. None of that colored foam you posted. Take your culinary high-horsery elsewhere:

and the food in photography isn't edible. so much shit goes onto that food to make the colors right and everything look so much better than in real life.

False. This may be true for food that is photographed for a chilis or tgi fridays menu/commercial, but the "foodtography" big spence is referencing is definitely all real edible dishes. The colors are made "right" by using the right ingredients, preparing them right, and photographing them right.

I am really good at making cereal, but I dont have the time to make any right now. But a lot of this is fap material...

this and the ribs at the top are the only things that look good, everything else is that fancy schmancy new age small plate bullshit

you appreciate coffee, cooking, and eating avocado in large quantities. I think I love you.
