The Real story from a Phish affiliate's site:::

'This song has not been performed or recorded by the Vermont band Phish .

It was originally done by Dr. Dre, Snoop, and a NYC hip-hop artist named Phish, and has been covered by a bluegrass band from Texas called the Gourds. The latter circulates on MP3, and is sometimes incorrectly labelled as by Phish.

The hip-hop artist 'Phish' is also featured on backup vocals for Dre's 'What's the Difference' (track 7 on Dr. Dre 2001 - a title as remarkably unoriginal as using the name Phish nearly two decades after the band started to).'

Yeah, I heard the song blaring in my hallway and talked my friend who was playing it. I asked him who he thought it was and he said the Gourds. I guess some people actually knew the truth.
