Follow cam help

Does anybody have any tips on getting a steady follow cam shot at higher speeds. It seems like every time i try to go fast doing a follow cam it turns our very shaky and bad.
 
what kind of camera do you have? because if you just have a regular dv with no handle or anything i find it to be a little better if you dont put your hand through the holder but hold onto the camera out away from your body and down by your waist, then you just angle the screen so you can see it. that helped a little bit when i used to do it that way.
 
handles aren't even that necessary, just hold the camera by your waist with your right hand going down through the side strap, angle the lcd screen so you can see, and put your left hand underneath the camera to stabilize it. Thats if you're a righty of course. Also, when angling the camera, use your shoulders rather than your wrists.
 
i actually prefer no handle for followcams. my camera (canon optura 10) fits nicely into my hand and i can keep it very steady. honestly dude, dont pay so much attention on the filming, just get a fisheye so the subject stays in the picture better, and just concentrate on where your going. keep the lcd closed, its a distraction. just point hte lens at the subject and youll be fine
