Foils vs. STL's

i was wondering what might i better ski be for me if i do 80% park and 20% all mountain. i currently have the '05 STL and I really like it and i'm not sure if i should get it again or not. also how does pop, flexibility and durability compare in these skis?

Depends on where you ski, like what is that 20% out of park, and how big you are. I hated my 05 stls, I ski tahoe and i'm 6'2 190. They're just to soft to ski hard anywhere out of the park. While the foils are no planks, they make a great park ski that I can take in the trees for a couple runs. For me they're perfect in the park at 182 because they're light and short stable enough but at my size flexy and poppy too.

I am 5'7'' and 130 lbs. I live in Minnesota so that is the 80% park and i go to CO or other places some time to do the other 20% (mountian)

If you already have stl's and like them then get the new ones. I ski the 06's and love them. The 07 is basicly the same ski and i ski prolly 70 park and 30 all mountain so the ski performs. Foils are also a great choice though. Alot of people riding them and dont worry about the core cuz all the foam bashing fucktards on this sight dont no what they are talking about. They ski great in and out of the park.

foils dog. wider platform, better flex pattern... blah blah blah... they're just better. for your size, i'd look at the 174 foils.

The foils have a much lower swing weight than the STLs. That's one of the good things about the foam core. I had STLs for about 10 days last year and the delamed. I had foils the rest of the year and will be getting a new pair in the fall. I am in MN too. Both skis ski quite nice, I like the Foil more.

no he shouldn't. those are mad skinny. they're cool for park, but not so hot if you ski anywhere else... ever.
