Foils or Guns

I'm going to buy either the Foil or Gun but I can't decide which ones to get. They are going to be my everyday ski. I ski in Idaho and ride the steepest stuff I can find when it's pow out and I ride the park when it's not. I've heard the Guns are a great all around ski but I worry they might be a bit wide to ski everyday. But I have been ski Moship Flites for the past three years as my only ski. What do people think between these two skis which ones do you like better. Oh and don't suggest another brand. I work at a shop and Salomon is all I have access to for cheap.
 
Having rode both i personally like the Guns better. If you're going to be skiing park more than all around the mountain go with the Foils. They still rip in pow but its definately not the same as the Guns. If you split your time pretty evenly like it sounds, i'd go with the guns.. I have the 188s and have no problem jumping on them. I've spent a little bit of time in the park with them on my feet and they aren't too bad.. Both skis turn really well.. The Foil is a little stiffer than the Gun.. Hopefully that helps you somewhat.. I'd say Gun personally.. Longer skis rule..

i ski guns and love them. they are sooooo much fun. good in pow and nice and light for park. hold up on rails also! love em. get them!
 
def. get the guns and if your worried about them being too big, just buy a slightly shorter size, or mount the more centrally.
 
yeah i got the guns and i love em.such a good all around ski.really good in the pow and i can control them great in the park.i really like the flex on them to.
 
hmm, im gonna ride foils as my all mnt/ whatever pow i get ski, cuzi live in NY, but they would make a great park ski fr you. guns wouldbe a better allmnt ski cuzthey shred anything with a bit of ease. guns soundlike you ski. but foils are deff dope sticks too.
 
Guns rip and so do the Foils. If you're in the east Foils will carve better on hard pack. Guns you give up on the carving a bit. In chop and pow, edge goes to the Guns, but the again, Foils are still pretty nice.

If you're eastern, for versatility go with the Foils. The 181's a NICE!

Graphics from Salomon I think are the best out there this year. Very impressed.
 
I've heard great things about the Guns, and I think foils would be too narrow for steep powder. the guns would be fine in the park, just maybe not so good for pipe.
 
i ride guns myself, and they are absolutely amazing

they are fat but you can ride them pretty much everywhere and i mean everywhere

you will love them off piste especially

but any woot you will enjoy the wider waist in the gun most def
