FOIL VS SPK HELP

Alright so I can get good deals on Salomon stuff, so I'm gonna buy either FOIL's 182cm or the SPK's 180 cm. I'm a bigger guy at almost six three who likes big jumps and pipe, and I only ride park when the rest of the MT sucks. I owned teneightys a year ago, but thought the foam core was a bit too soft for me. My thoughts are I want to learn switch sevens this year so I should get the SPK's, but I figure the foils will be better off big kickers and on the rest of the mountain. Any suggestions?????

 
you know those have foam cores too right? if you want salomon get the dumont promodels, they have a wood core.
 
how much u way? cause the SPK are much stiffer than the Foil...but the foil will be better for the rest of the mountain and BC kickers
 
the SPK isnt stiffer than the foil .....I have the SPKs and THE DUMONTS the spks are super sick park skis they have tons of pop and are just dope skis......the dumonts are similar in pop and flex but are a little wider and seem a little stiffer than the SPKs.........if your looking for an all mountain ski get the foil....if you want a park ski the SPK and the DUMONT are both sick choices
 
I weigh in at 185, so now I'm thinkng Spks's if the foils are softer?I know I don't want the Dumont's cause I've been on public enemys for the last two years and at 179 they feel a tiny bit too small.
 
Foils are salomon's stiffest twin.

SPK's rule the park/pipe so do the dumonts.

Foils slay everything plus it's the best all mountain twin ski out there.

The wood vs composite debate is tiring... and cores have nothing to do wiht stiffness of the ski.

 
plus, K2 measures their skis differently, so a 179 k2 could possibly be longer than a 180 or even a 182 salomon. My 169 PEs are like 3-4 cm longer than my 169 1080's (from 2001).
 
They are offering last years graphic the black and gray/white this year as well or just get last years for cheap if the shop owner doesnt know what they are doing because its the same exact ski except for this year they raised it up under foot slightly but doesnt really change much. Also the bases are different i think this year has a more quality yet softer base.
