Foil or fs wrs

^I agree with the whole lightness thing...but the foils will ultimately feel a lot damper after a while. You won't get that energy out of the ski that a wood core has to offer. The thing is, you won't even notice the Salomons getting more worn in until you hop on a pair of wood core skis. Not knocking Salomon, or foam, i'm just saying it really damp..and not as energetic.

I'm 180 and have never had a problem with the foam core, and have skied on lots of wood core skis, by the end of a season they loose some snap but they're still a lot more poppie than any of the armada skis

The Rossis are about 1 gramme heavier yet vastly superior in every other way. He'd get over it.

And your an idiot.

Come on I'm making a valid point. They both cost the same amount of money. The Rossis are built to a much higher standard with higher production costs. They feel better built to the touch and will hold their stiffness longer than the Foils as well as resiting delam and topsheet scrapes in the lift queue. The 07 Scratches are lighter and more flexible than 06 so are closer to the flex pattern and weight of the Foils. The weight difference is so minimal that the quality of the ski overides the need to buy the foils for their weight.

I've skied the '07 Rossies and the '07 Foils. I'm 85 kg = 187 lbs

I think the Foils are lighter and easier to ski. Especially carving on the groomed and offpiste.

I liked the Rossies more on the medium sized and big kickers. More stable feeling in the air.

Both really really good ski's. My advise: buy the Rossignols when your most of the time in the park. For me the foils are a better allround and more fun ski.

Sorry for my poor English

Of all the twins I demoed last year, the Foil, Karma and PE were my top 3. I bought Foils (I also have a 'carving' ski, otherwise I would have gone with the Karma). The FS was probably 4th or 5th on my list. Good ski, but not quite as good as the three I mentioned above. I think the FS could easily win 'most improved' ski this year though.

Oh yeah, I am 6'2" and 185 lb.

i couldnt agree with everything you have said in this thread more. People can just be so extremely closed minded, and not even give something a chance. I am almost completly sure that all of the people bashing the foil have probably never even ridden them. Personally, i am buying the foil this year because i live on the east coast, and do probably as much riding outside of the park as i do inside of the park. And from what i have heard, the foil is great for this, whereas the fs lacks in this field.
