yeah they have the same fit pretty much. the xwaves are slightly stiffer, think they go from 85 or 90 and up. they also have a wider powerstrap then the foil boot.
the xwave 8 is somewhat stiffer than the foil boot. also the xwave has a much nicer liner but all that is reflected in the price. the foil boots have a very soft flex
they fit the same, but yes the X Wave 8 is 5 points stiffer (90 i think) than the foil. i ski a pretty good amount of all mtn. and i regret getting the foil. its too soft... so if you ski all over, go with the 8
