Foam Blocks or Giant Airbag?

Theyre fuckin expensive! I know the guy that does an airbag tour in the UK and he actually makes them as well. Cost about £20,000 so thats US$32,860. Not cheap!!

Airbag would for sure hurt more. But an airbag would be kinda nice cause you would have a more realistic landing where foam pit you can just kinda do whatever.

All of this should be safe except for freak accidents of course like going to the bottom of the pit.

For least pain is foam, but with foam and water you are landing flat. Although these are undisputabley(sp?) great ways to learn new tricks, the landing isnt exact enough for you to dial it in perfectly.

For most improvement is landing pad, simply becuase you land on an angle and can ride away from it most of the time

Hope this helped

This may be true when thinking about specific neck injuries, but on a day to day basis, you are going to get a lot less hurt on an airbag than on water ramps. I have done both a lot, and trust me if you land on your stomach or back or anything like that on water you get fuckin playyyed, on the bag your strait chillin

Thanks Nick. I'm trying to change that. I think the reason that most water ramps hurt is because they were designed for freestyle aerials and then they just added jumps that were more park style. I'm trying to raise funds to build a facility that would duplicate the kind of air that we like both in take off and landing. Because all of the existing water ramp facilities have the jumps way above the level of the water, you always hit the water at a really steep angle. Basically if you drop straight down from 20 feet and don't land right, it's going to hurt going into water. I will be building my jumps so that, when you hit the water, your momentum is still going forward and you go in at about a 35 degree angle. I am also making my bubble system portable and expandable so that we can make the water as soft as possible. We will test out adding sudsing agents and/or silicone to the water. I will keep experimenting until someone can hit a feature that would be like a 120 foot table, completely screw up, land on their stomach or back, and come out laughing. I've been planning this for years and I know it's doable.
