FlyLow Quantum Pro vs Patagonia Powder Bowl

Hello, avid ski/boarder here, I ski in the PNW (Washington) mainly Stevens pass. I am completely torn between these 2 jackets. I mainly do resort skiing but like to do a bit of side country sometimes as well. I do like the fact that the Patagonia has goretex. And they are both the same price, $400. However I am wondering if with the Patagonia/goretex am I paying extra money just for the brand name? That makes me think that maybe the FlyLow might be a better option durability wise but not sure. I like to go up about 30 times a year and I’m a big dude. 6’2” 200lbs. Also open to other suggestions
 
Both are dope. Can’t speak for the Patagonia, but flylow jackets are amazing. I have the Albert and can’t say enough about it. Flylows fit is better too imo
 
At this point, the vast majority of proprietary waterproof/breathable laminates (e.g., Flylow's "Intuitive") are essentially equal to standard Gore-Tex when it comes to waterproofing and breathability. Gore-Tex has the advantage of their "guaranteed to keep you dry" promise, but other than that, there's not much benefit when it comes to going with standard Gore-Tex over some brand's proprietary membrane. (different story with Gore-Tex C-Knit, Gore Active, Gore Pro, etc.)

The Quantum Pro is a sick jacket that's lighter than the Powder Bowl, though the Powder Bowl does use a recycled face fabric, which is nice. In the end, I'd say if you like the look, feature set, etc. of the Quantum Pro more than the Powder Bowl, I'd say go for it.
 
I ended up going with the FlyLow in an XL. The Large fit quite well but I liked the fact that I felt just a bit less restricted in the XL. Can’t wait to get up on the slopes and try it out!

FWIW I also have the FlyLow Baker Bibs which I picked up 2 seasons ago and absolutely love! Best pair of ski pants I have ever owned!
