Flying w/ crutches and cast

I recently broke my fibula and tore a tendon in my ankle, i had surgery three weeks ago (a few metal additions for my leg) and will still be in a below the knee cast for another couple of weeks. Friday I;m flying home for spring break. does anybody have any experience/tips and tricks for either flying with crutches (leg is not weight bearing), or flying with a cast, or flying with metal in your leg?
