Fly fishing question

Got a new 8 weight streamer setup and was wondering if there’s really any difference in sinking and floating fly line? I usually only fish deep holes or lakes so I was thinking about getting some sinking line.

I use to use sinking line salmon fishing and wouldn't be possible getting the fly down deep with floating , definitely I good idea to have both.

depending on the sink weight

ya huge difference

even huge differences tween sink tips and full depending on head length

if ya wanna git shit down without resorting to heavy flies

a type 5 or 6 will do it

oh and its way thinner than floating lines and will aggravatingly want to coil if not warmed or stretched

rios what i usually use by sa lines are good

if ya can find spare spools for your reel having the ability to change fast doesnt suck
