no doubt you've probably heard atleast one of his songs, but one of my mates, Flume, from Sydney Australia has just made it big, with his debut album absolutely smashing everything, went to top of itunes within 2 days. so stoked for him. please check him out. if youve got good headphones, plug them in and turn it up, its so much better.

Im a big fan mate, made this^ thread about him actually. He is killing it big time.

That's fucking amazing! I love flume, best music in my mind to do anything too. Let him know that he has mad support from the NS community.

hes good, no doubt about that. Been a long time fan super bummed i cant see him when he is in NZ. Tell him to do an individual show and not just the festival

i was in australia this summer (candian summer, aussie winter) and i walked into a bar in byron bay and he was playing. best night ever

That's sick. My roommate showed me that first song last year, and I forgot about it/him until just now. Great artist, glad to hear of his success.

Flume is fucking dope, that's sick that your friends with him. Make sure to let him know we think he's killing it!

Heard one of his songs about a month ago, loved it, shazamed it, and looked him up on spotify. Congrats to him, he deserves it!

Props to your bud dude! Mad creativity and top-notch producing to back it up. He definitely deserves the recognition.

LOL all the teeny boppers at my school think that flume is like the tightest shit in the world. So i am inclined to hate him.

It's lot like Disclosure: pop friendly, catchy, yet somewhat aggressive dance music. Obviously there are major differences between Flume and Disclosure but they have managed to capture the attention from producer snobs and mainstream channel-fed teenyboppers alike.

not that he's the same stylistically, but I've always thought i could see him getting some mainstream/ radio appeal like zedd has. Similar in that they both were young lesser known edm guys, with light and poppy tracks, and lets be honest, prominent female vocals over house that always seem to push people towards mainstream recognition. I best someone a dollar that he will be well known by your average US middle schooler by next year... which is about how long it took for clarity to make it anywhere (not negative per sae)

/rant

its been sick seeing him blow up over the last year (esp this summer) amongst some of the other deep house-ish acts like disclosure and klingande

fuck yeah. When he released this track a few months ago I fell in love. Still can't get enough of it.

i really don't think they are either, but they constantly are grouped with that category, even on beatport and more-or-less credible music sites. so i guess i was more or less going with the flow on what to call them, not the technicality. may b

I've been a huge flume fan for a bit now, and I can honestly say that I am both surprised it went so high on itunes chart so quickly. Mad props to him. His shit is so god damn good. Every party my roomates and i throw, people jizz over his music.

Thats rad! I remember coming across him randomly on youtube and falling in love with his music. You and Me is my favorite song by him.
