Flume Slides NH

Has anyone skied or rode the Flume Slides on Mt. Flume outside of Franconia Notch? I want to get some feedback before attempting.

Judging just by the 2 clips it seems there isnt enough coverage. I am not from there but with 2-3'' thicker snow base it looks do-able. Idk, looks steep too, and i can imagine there are lots of big "pillows" when you wanna ski where the rock slide is.

I d recommend some rock skis, ice pick, good beer and big balls.
 
Thanks for the videos! Apparently it is supposed to be about a 55 degree pitch at its steepest but I am not sure if it gets that steep. I got the ice axe and the rock skis, all I need is the beer and the balls and I'm set.
 
I have only hiked it in the summer. I do know some people that have gotten up onto Flume to ski it. It goes, but definitely needs the right snowpack. This year isn't looking too good in the notch, seems like a thaw/freeze cycle every week here. I'm a patroller at Cannon and have been keeping a close eye on the snow on that side of the notch and its low tide currently.
 
Thanks for the insight. Unfortunately these few weeks of above freezing during the day and below freezing during the night has been quite detrimental to the snowpack. Even Tuckerman's is looking sketchy in comparison to a few weeks ago. Hopefully the weather cools down in late January - early February.
 
There's a thread on this somewhere. Either TGR or a New England FB group. But yes, it is skiable. You need a real solid snow year, and to be super cautious. It's not on the Avy reports and is extra remote.
 
Yeah but never in great snow conditions. It's a slog to hike. I'd rec it as a great summer hike and not that great of a ski option but am curious to see any photo/video you all have
 
Gave it a go in February. Snow pack is good but the "Flume Slide Trail" does not actually bring you to the slides but around them. So unless you're looking to ski down the thinnest hiking trail of your lives and pull of gear every 5 minutes to cross a stream I wouldn't suggest doing this.
