"Jeremy Lin is a good player, but all the hype is because he's Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don't get the same praise."
No Floyd. Just no. Lin now holds the record for most points scored in the first week of play time in professional basketball. In the first 7 days of his professional career (when he started playing after being called up from the bench last week until his game against the lakers where he scored 38 points) He scored 100 points. That is the number one spot. The people beneath him were michael jordan, shaquille o'neal, and allen iverson. This is a fact, this was plastered on espn all week. But this ignorant fuck Mayweather tries to pull the fucking race card and say he is getting the credit because he is asian black people do this every night.
He is an idiot. I'm not a knicks fan and personally I think Lin is having a severe stroke of beginners luck. He is a great ball player but will be able to put up numbers like this the rest of the season? I guess that remains to be seen. What pisses me off is the ignorance of this fuck head. This just really pissed me off and came here to rant about it. So yeah. Floyd black dudes don't do this every night if they did no one would give a fuck about Jeremy Lin. People just don't put up numbers like that. That's why he is in the likes of some of the best basket ball players of the last 3 decades, he is playing damn well and it wouldn't matter if he was white black yellow or brown he took down a record held by the best basketball player of all time and that is damn impressive.

pretty sure having a good run as a rookie has nothing to do with skin color. black, white, brown, yellow, green, purple, or blue, kid comes in and gives the knicks fans something to cheer for. it's always a nice story, and that's what i like about professional sports. nobody becomes somebody in one play, one moment, one game, whatever. clutch = excitement, even if it doesn't translate to lasting success.

Isiah Thomas, who has been caught up in a furor over comments he made about Larry Bird last week, made a public plea for understanding today in the company of the Celtic forward.

Shortly after Thomas arrived in Los Angeles, where the Celtics were preparing to meet the Lakers in tonight's second game of the National Basketball Association Finals, the two players appeared at a crowded news conference at the Celtics' hotel. It was an effort to end the controversy that has grown since the Detroit Piston guard told reporters last Saturday that if Bird were black he ''would be just another good guy'' instead of being portrayed as the league's best player. The remarks came after an emotional seventh-game loss to the Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals.

Thomas said he was ''joking'' and admitted that his intention may have been lost on the large group of reporters, many of whom knew him only as a player and not as an individual. Plays Tape
