Flowers for Algernon..anyone read this?

Just finished reading this book. This is probably one of the most powerful books I have ever read. I would recommend it to anyone.

It truly is a thought provoking novel and makes you self-evaluate yourself on many levels. The ending was probably one of the most depressing things I have ever read. I was just curious if anyone else has read it. Thoughts?

Ya we never read it in highschool. I found it surprisingly good, didn't realize how much of a classic it was.

hes confusing the two, george and lenny are farmhands in mice and men, in flowers for algernon, the retard is going through an experimental procedure to make him smart, so is algernon the mouse.

that book was absolutely amazing, and actually made me really sad in the end...btw in Highschool, you dont read the whole thing..just parts of it
