depends on your situation... ahem...: situations that have high static energy, but low kinetic energy (or wet friction) are most suited for a fluorinated wax. On the flip side snow with higher kinetic energy but lower static energy (or dry friciton) would be best suited for the use of a hydrocarbon or non-fluorinated wax. Basically, you will be fastest in cold dry snow with a hydrocarbon wax and fastest in warm wet snow with a fluorinated wax. However, both hydrocarbon and fluorinated waxes get stripped off the base than a basic non-fluoro wax. Check out the level of moisture in the snow first (you should be able to get that off of your resorts website) and cater accordingly.

So, when waxing you should use a base cleaner to strip out the old wax and make sure the first coat is of a fairly hard wax (no matter where you ski). Then if you are going to be in varying conditions a couple layers of low-fluoro wax would work well, otherwise mix waxes to create the best ratio for whatever snow you might be riding... and remember that liquid or cream waxes will get stripped off the base much faster than a hot wax.

yea dude, most of the time, unless your racing, it doesnt matter whether you use ch, lf, or sera f. Don't use sera f or hf ever if not racing, and usually theres not even any reasoon to use lf. just make sure that youve got the rite wax for the snow temp.
