I'm from Tampa.

Uni of Tampa

USF

My best friend goes to the University of West Florida in Pensacola. Most beautiful place in FL. White sand beaches. Great place to surf too.

Tip: Stay on the coasts.

I lived in the clearwater (near tampa) region for a few years when i was younger.....and I thought that UCF was a pretty nice school and the University of Tampa seems cool. I wasn't a fan of University of Florida....because it kind of seemed like a shithole, and Florida State...well i don't really like the Tallahasee area. I ended up at University of Vermont, but USF and UCF seem pretty nice. Not sure about Miami...but I also heard that FIT was a decent school from a friend who visited there.

Def agree with Aspen...you want to make sure you stay near the coast, thats where all the fun is.

dont go to florida. its full of red necks and assholes with southern accents. plus there is nothing to do there, especially in tampa, where you cant even surf. also, you know that florida and california aren't the only states with a warm climate, right? there is also arizona, hawaii, new mexico, and some other shitty states in the south.

Agree to disagree ignorant fool... There is so much to do around Tampa and there are rednecks and assholes everywhere. Yeah you can't surf by Tampa but you can skimboard and surf is only 2.5 hours away. Obviously you are too lazy to get out and find fun. It has to be handed to you.

And to the thread creator, like Aspen said, stick to the coasts. U of F isn't really for the people wanting the coast. Much more of a school spirit school. USF is decent but more difficult to get in and out because of location and traffic. There are quite a few choices throughout the state too so shop around. I checked out a few smaller schools on the ocean side that were sick. by Daytona, West Palm, and Fort Lauderdale but I don't remember the names.

Cali has so many options and so many different ares that you would need to research areas you might want to be in and what you want to study.

Go check out schools before hand. It helps to go see them in person.

I know it's not Florida, but Georgia Tech is a good school. You would prob get in with a few more points on your math in your SAT. I go there, message me with questions if you want. Just so you know, its mostly warm, but we have a sick ass park 4.5 hours away. In Florida, everything is 10+

i'm from colorado but i'm in grad school at the University of Texas in Austin. Austin is a great city, its impossible not to like it. bars are insane, girls are amazingly hot and they're not stuck up california cunts that are now infesting CO. terrain is not what you expect from texas either. some pretty decent mtn biking around here and there's a bunch of lakes. only drawbacks are there's no skiing and it happens to located in the middle of texas. the texas hate is all the rage on this site but i would rather live here than any shitty state in the midwest.

but california is still probably the place to be its just the people really suck and its insanely expensive.

UC Santa Cruz is super dope, if your into like weed and acid and hippies and riding your bicycle everywhere.

UC Berkley is super dope, if your into like weed and hippies and underground record stores.

UC San Diego is super dope, if your into like copious amounts of alcohol and weed and REALLY sluttly chicks and independant micro-breweries, and surfing brah.

UC San Bernadino is in a really nice area and has a great party scene but everyone is on cocaine and it gets a little annoying after a while.

UCLA would suck its sortof a lame area and its just full of asians.

UC Riverside is not the coolest possible area but is probably the easiest UC school to get into and is a really good school

Dont go to:

CSU Long Beach (In the Ghetto)

CSU Northridge (Boring Area)

CSU Fullerton (Boring Area)

PM me if you have any questions about other schools in CA I've either been to the area, partied with the students, or slept in the dorms of most of them.

Florida is terrible, go to California if you must go to one of those places. The skiing is awesome, you just have to drive a lot to get there probably.

berkeley is sick if you are into ugly chicks. if you wanna be somewhere truly warm go down south. even though northern cal is way sick. try UCSB or UCSD or SDstate. DONT go to santa clara. i would kill myself if i had to go to school there.
