Flips

ok this year i plan on throwin sum sort of flip. I saw a few vids of ppl just freezing in the air and landing on their head. Whats the easiest flip.. just straight backs?

what kinda jump should i be hittin for this too..

thanks for the tipps..

fronts easiest for not getting killed... backs u can stall and or overrotate easly or a lincoln loop would be a good one

haha i tried my first back in my freinds back yard off like a 4 foot high like moguls style jump to flat/1 foot pow that didnt last long. sketch but fun. my freind who is way shorter then me could get them around but i kept landing on my tips.

i just did what i thought i was most comfortable with and that was a front flip after doing them all i realized that front flips are definitely the hardest invert.

backs are easy never tried a front and you dont need even close to a 25 fotter, for something thats is pretty stylish just find somethin with a decent lip to it, you dont need to go that far. anyone got tips on learnin fronts i wanna try em

i would think backs would be easyier becuase if ure hiitng a jump with a decent lip it alredy sets ur rotation for you

im lookin in to doing flips this year also. I think i will start out on a backyard kicker or if we dont get snow, a 15 footer

idk backs are easy on snow if you can do them on tramp, everyone says fronts are easy i cant picture doing a front but yah

i learnt fronts first. i used my arms to throw myself and i brought up one leg before the other to help the rotation. with backflips i just built a backflip booter with a steep landing and threw it!

backs are probably the easiest. just make sure you learn with lots of soft snow because it does take some trial and error.

Here's the link to a good thread about backflipping.

This would be my advice...

The three crucial steps to learn a backflip:

1] build a nice kicker with a good lip into some fluffy powpow- big enough to allow you to get around: not so big that you're gonna panic. don't try it first time in the park.

2] commit. like any spin/flip, you have to really go for it. any doubt or hesitation and you'll eat shit- believe you can do it.

3] tuck. you'll keep in control and keep the flip straight.

I would add to arch your neck to spot the landing, but to be honest the first time will be about timing- the adrenaline will make shit go blurred and you prolly won't be able to spot it...

remember- believe in yourself: when you stomp it you'll feel like the shit, claim it, go crazy, whatever. good luck!
