alright i'm going to unleash a fury upon you...people need to start researching obvious topics like this. i've commented and i know tons of other members have all responded to back flip posts. at the time i posted this there was another thread on flips on this page. in conclusion no they're not easier than 360's but if you go for it realize all you need to do is commit

it is easier, think of it,a backflip your going with your motion and all you have to do is commit to it and you get around much more easier than a 360,its the same amount of rotations between the two

however big you feel comfortable with.

but don't be lame and throw it 2 feet off the ground

the reason people say there easyer than a 360 is becuase after u get good at them they are easyer than a 360 off a big jump.

if its easier than a 360, how come i can smoothly 720 on a big jump but i can backflip. it may be easier for some people, prolly most people, but theres exceptions. they call us exceptions pussies. i cant even back on a tramp, just off diving boards.

maybe you have small plums

yea i found a backflip alot easier than a 3, the consequences are just a lot higher if you mess up, the first time atleast for most people, you get sorta freaked out halfway through, and it turns into a flair, but you should be able to get it eventually if you just huck it and then concentrate on looking for your landing

Yeah. If you thinkn about it completely from a theoretical perspective it is much easier. the amount of spin is less because of the lip and landing you are only spinning about a mazimum of 270 degrees as opposed to 360. As well, its more natural to jujst throw your head back and its more straightforward and symmetric. Its also tons easier to spot your landing.

am scared pissless about backflips but this weekend i was attempting mistys over a 35 foot table. i cant do a back on a tramp either, backflips are really a mental game. u definitly need to learn them other places before skiing tho, if not thats just dangerous. good luck man.
