anyone here learned how to fly planes?

how expensive is it, how much time does it take up, and how long did it take you from start to finish? i'd just like to know more about learning to fly in general.
 
Theres been a relatively large amount of threads on this actually. Theres like a 4 pager called "flying". Im on mobile right now so mh answer is going to be short and sweet. Depending on where you live, plane rental will be 100-200$ an hour and instructor will be anywhere from 40-80$ an hour. Plus renter's insurance if you feel it necessary. Youll need a bunch of books, study material, and flight computer etc.. ($100). You need a bare minimum of 40 hours for a private license, and the written exam was 300 if I remember correctly. Flying is super fun but you definitely need some change to do it. Good luck!
 
Not really sure what you're goals are, but if you just want to fly, get some hours and solo, then get an ultralight. a decent one can be had for under 3000.
