Portoricocheeko, it would be a wise and respectable decision to ditch the Line Mavericks. Do not base your judgement on graphics, because that is a huge mistake. Buying skis is about finding the right pair that fits your riding style, and your type of skiing, not the colors on top of your sticks that will 99% of the time be covered in snow anyways. J.D. gave you some excellent recommendations, personally I would go with the Head Mad_Trix. Buy a cheaper ski than the MSP, that is extremely durable. Because you are an 'aspiring jibber' as you put, these will stay with you for a while, and when you want to buy another pair, you'll still have these boards to use as all-mountain/rail skis/uraban skis...They are a trusty companion to have along with you. Look into those. Try to demo them first, but if you are really stuck on getting them this summer, than make sure you check them out more, make sure the decision is right for you.
