Flatspin 5 : HELP!

anyone have any sucess throwing this trick? my main problem is a dont know how to set it. ill be fine in the air, im good with inverts i just dont know how to set for a flatspin.

my best guess is to (for me) is to try to look over my left shoulder at my right heel. or will that just throw me into a D-spin?

HELP!

word.. flatspins are tricky, try doing a rodeo first, i gotta go out and shovel, ill pm you with some details in abit

set it like a sideflip but turn your right shoulder (the one you flip over) towards the landing. flat5s are sooo easy once you figured them out

Alright. Try these on a trampoline first for sure.

You have to practice these on a tramp A LOT before it becomes a natural movement. You have to take it step by step.

1. Pop. Make sure you get a good pop

2. Go to about 90 degrees (a little off axis), and then throw a backflip.

I know this doesn't sound like what the trick looks like in real life, but once the trick becomes natural on the trampoline, then all of these movements will look like a true flatspin. At first when you learn it, you have to break down these movements one by one and then once you understand the trick, it will become one fluid motion.

I haven't tried them on snow yet but I have them pretty much dialed on tramps so any day now when i grow some nuts i will try it.

^ what the fuck are you talking about? you dont want to try and spin 90 and then do a back flip you will die.

Learn rodeos first. When taking off jump have weight on right foot (if spinning left then sort of throw a backflip but with your head looking over your left shoulder and like throw an upper cut across your body. Thats how I do my rodeos. Once you have that then try to add more spin than flip. Keep trying thi and each time try to get less and less inverted. You spot your landing SUPER early on the 5s so just come around and set your feet.

nop defenetly no, you need to set it like a backflip but instead of looking right behind your head just throw your arm on the side and look over your shoulder it'll make you roll on the side then you'r on it bro.

unfort hes kinda right bro. ik that sounds a little retarded the way hes explaining it, but thats basically right. when you turn 90 and try to throw a backflip you dont actually go upside down.

yo bro that helps tons! i would always try to throw it backflip first and then spin, but i would always get totally invert, your way makes may more sense... thanks man!

Throw your right foot to your left shoulder. That'll put you at Rodeo which is basically the same trick and once you're comfortable with that keet setting your right foot lower and lower down your body as throw it less and less inverted it will become more and more flat. The other way I visualise them is, a jump will set you backseat (this is easier off steep jumps) when you're at the top of the lip your body will almost be parrell to the ground (if the ground is flat) then set a lincoln from there.

drop both of your shoulders and set your rotation then bring youre legs like up and around the way youre spinning. theyre pretty sweet once you can do them. i used to be able to do themon a tramp but not anymore

for sure dude just have one trampoline session where all you throw is the flat spin then you will get really good at it. Remember to take it step by step at first and then after you understand it keep throwing it and you should be set bro.
