Flat down rail

I'm making a flat-down rail right now and am trying to decide what would be a good angle from the flat to the down. Anyone have any insight?

kinda big but not that big. it depends what you will be doing on it. i know that this post probably didn't help at all

depends how high u want the flat to start and how low u want the down to finish at

Thats not too much of a big deal. It's gonna be the same height the whole way, I have a spot that is perfect for a flat down rail.

I'm basically just makign 2 flat rails but on the second one i want to have the supports at an angle so the ends of each rail go together fairly smoothly and its not someghetto gap drop between them.

I was think around 25 degrees, maybe 30, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had some pointers before I start cutting up the wood.

i just finished mine its pretty mellow but i started with a realy small angle and put it up to the rail and kept experinmenting till it looked right
