Flat 3 help?

I posted this in the Trick Tip Forum and got nothing, so I'm posting it here.
Basically, I don't understand flat 3s at all, even though on the trampoline I can easily throw every flatspin from a 5 to a 9, and flat 5 and 7 japan are two of my favorite, most solid tricks. I want to learn flat 3s so I can start attempting double flat 9s on the trampoline. But I just don't understand them at all. How do you rotate? How do you set it? How do you keep it from being a weird Lincoln or a weirder backie?
Basically, WHAT THE EFF, DAVID BLAINE?!Help please?

(assuming you spin left, if not do opposite) Try to kick your left shoulder with your right leg, do so while throwing a backie and maybe put your head on your left shoulder. Makes for the gnarliest most awesome flat threes

i actually just put the trick to snow this weekend.

i was basically just throwing a sorta backflip, but instead of going straight back i drop my left shoulder (if you spin left) and grab japan with my right hand.

Good luck!

flat 3 is like an off axis backflip or a lichon loop count for a flat 3 to .

I can't do this trick to :P good look !

i throw my right leg over my left shoulder and commit. but i find flat 5s easier than flat 3s

try a backflip and reach hard for japan grab right away and sorta tilt your head to your right shoulder. then just keep trying that until you get it.

learned flat 3's on the tramp. when i do it i set it like a backflip and look over my right shoulder. they only thing that pisses me off is thats my opp way, id like to try them on the snow natural(left side)
